Winry stood there, looking out the window at Ed who was sitting by the tree they grew up playing on. Her expression saddened, this would be the first Christmas with out Al. Ever since the transmutation failed, Ed was quieter. He had quit the military, despite the Colonel's objections. The Colonel loved him as a son; though he never would admit it.
So Ed moved back to Resembool in a little apartment not to far from Winry's house. And now he stood there, a tear fell down the side of his face but it's quickly wiped away. Ed and Al never used to celebrate the birth of Christ, because of Ed's disbelief of God, but they would still come up to visit herself and Pinako. That alone was a happy memory he wouldn't be able to experience anymore.
She left windowsill and headed towards the door. Ed didn't notice her coming out so she quietly walked up behind him, wrapping her arms around him resting her chin on his shoulder. Ed gave out a small gasp at the newcomer, but after processing it to be Winry he leaned back slightly in her arms. Winry decided she would just have to create new memories for Ed.
