I'm Starting Again

It's a thing that I do a lot, especially with things like fanfiction. Guardian was really the third version of the same project, restarted and rehashed over and over again, because I'm too much of a perfectionist to just let it lie. I do like the pilot episode, even though I will be going back and changing a few things in it. Namely, the history and backstory of the characters and the world. I took too much for granted and thought that I could weave an intricate duologue of story lines like Arrow has done, but I have to accept that the skill of a young student with a laptop is much less than a team of writers that work for a television network.

So here's what is going to happen. I am going to delete Guardian from . Then I'm going to sit down and PLAN the story, from start to finish, pilot to finale, episode by episode. Then I am going to write it out, and I won't be uploading ANYTHING until the entire first season has been completed. I have started a creative writing course this year that will hopefully give me more confidence and skill to work on this project.

I still want to know what people want to happen with a story like this. How realistic or fantastical people want it to be, the roles characters play, both the protagonists and the villains. Whether the story should be intimate and deep like Daredevil's, or more comic-book like Arrow. I want to know if people liked Bianca Evans, the original character I created in the Pilot and what role she can have in this world. Should Emma have died in the orphanage fire or should she live on in the flashback storyline and have her own story, like Ellie in The Last of Us? Does Pitch Black already know who Jack is, or do they cross paths in the present, interests piqued by legends and stories? Is Jack an established hero, or an urban legend? These are the questions I keep asking myself, and the ones I now ask you.

I have given everything I can. Do with it what you will.
