Disclaimer: I don't own them...yet. Another Day
Ever since I looked up
In to her burning eyes
I promised I wouldn't
Live another day in lies.
Another day, it goes wrong
And he's bleeding in my arms.
For another day, another save
To keep others from harm/
There once was a little boy,
He used to tug on my sleeve
"Daddy, what's wrong?"
But I watched him leave-
Leave and become someone
New, not the small, cute kid
But, a solider to fight against
Monsters I should have hide.
Now when I feel a familiar
Hand tug on my tattered sleeve
He looks around the battlefield,
"I think it's time to leave."
What proud parent wouldn't
Want to teach the family legacy?
Blood and bones, how to save-
And how to kill the evil we see.
I my head hangs a little lower,
Heavy with promises made.
As I try the best way to keep
Going through another day.
His little brother, keeps looking
At the two of us with open eyes.
And this time around, I think
It's best to tell him a few lies.
