He knew romance was a pretty heavy thing. He saw it in his brother's eyes at least. He watched as Joe and Stella rocked the floor. Swearing only to go as friends but you'd have to be blind not to see the love connection.

He longed for them to kiss; he wanted his brothers to be happy. He turned his gaze to Nicholas, whose smile lit up the room as he and Penny moved gracefully on the floor as well.

He chose the sidelines again.

"Come on Kev, you're a Jonas remember? Lots of girls will dance with you I bet"

Kevin turned his attention to Joseph Lucas and Stella Malone who stopped for a drink.

"Joe is right Kevin. Come on, I hate seeing you just standing there" Stella added and Kevin shook his head.

"I don't feel like it," he said and the two shrugged.

Stella noticed then a pretty, petite, super Jonas fan brunette walk in and rushed over.

"Macy hey, you look gorgeous"

"Hey Stella, thanks, I should look great, you made me the dress" Macy responded and did a small twirl.

"Why thank you Ms. Mesa, come on the boys are by the punch bowl" Stella answered and took her friends hand.

They went to the bowl and Macy took a cup that Joe offered.

"Nice dress Macy, you look really pretty" he complimented her and Stella dragged him off to dance.

"I don't get why they don't just date" Kevin said and Macy shrugged. She turned to him as he grabbed some cookies and sat on a chair.

"Taking a break from dancing?" she asked and he shook his head. "I don't dance, I just didn't feel like staying home" he answered and Macy raised a brow.

"That and Stella scares me" he added and she laughed, noticing the tux that her pretty blonde friend obviously made.

"Mind if I join you?"

"You…you don't have to Macy, I'm sure a lot of guys will dance with you"

"I know, just like a lot of girls would take your hands Mr. Lucas" she responded and he smiled.

"Not as fast as they'd snatch Joseph and Nicholas" he muttered and Macy saw him in a new light.

Kevin looked at his hands and Macy took one. "Kevin, you're one of the most remarkable guys I know…"

"Compared to who Macy? I'm tired of being their shadow, and don't tell me I'm not, even you tried to make Randolph a Nick clone, face it I'm…" Kevin interrupted but Macy interrupted him back, with her lips.

"Best way to shut a guy up my mom says" she responded.

"Macy…"

"No Kevin let me talk now, yes I made Randolph look like Nick but Nick isn't the guy who found my charm or make me feel good about my horrible singing, Kevin Lucas, I want to dance with you and only you" Macy said and Kevin smiled.

"All right, lets go then" he said and took her hand and led her to the floor where Joe and Nick high fived each other.

"All right Kevin, they do make an awesome couple"

"Yeah they do Joseph but I like you best" Stella agreed and Joe looked at her.

"Stella? What about…"

"Tonight Joey, there is no rules" she only responded before kissing his cheek.

It was a great night to be a teenager.
