A Study in Annoyance and Endearment

CylasxCael

"I'm trying to do my homework."

Cylas hummed, focused on pressing his lips to Cael's neck repeatedly and far too engrossed in this task to pretend to care. Cael grunted quietly, slid his book from his lap and followed suit, slipping from Cylas' arms and hunkering down against his headboard with a huffy sigh. Without giving him the chance to relax, Cylas pushed his face into personal space, planted a quick, light kiss to the tip of Cael's nose and grinned at him.

"S-stop that!"

He is face met the unforgiving cover of a History textbook, body flailing backwards and away until he was flopped onto his side and Cael was perched in his chair on the other side of the room. He frowned, mustered up his best puppy eyes and flopped heavily onto the edge of the bed.

"Caaaaaaaaaaaael" Pathetic, whiney and totally working. Cael's eyebrow twitched, but he didn't look up. Oh he was good. Another whine, this one kept in his throat, pushed out pitifully and accompanied with a tilted head. Both eyebrows twitched and Cylas couldn't keep the self satisfied grin that spread across his face.

Cael set his pencil down, jaw tight with grit teeth as he leveled Cylas with his best un-amused stare. Cylas laughed and rolled onto his back, head hanging off the edge of the bed and hands flying into the air to make frantic grabby hands.

"You've been hanging out with Grant too much. Look at what he's done to your face!" Cael hunched into himself, scowl falling away to reveal Cylas' favorite pout that totally wasn't a pout.

"There's nothing wrong with my face…" Cylas laughed again, sharp and loud before his hands fell to cover his face.

Cael kept his eyes on him watched him warily as he rolled around on the edge of the bed. The hands were eventually lifted, shoulders still and breathing even, apparently over his giggle fit for the time being before whipping out his 'puppy eyes' again, pleased with the visible impact they had on Cael's stiff form. With a huff, shoved from his throat to keep up pretenses, Cael set his book aside and crawled onto the bed next to the other boy.

Cylas immediately sat up and wrapped his arms around his now obtained goal and stuffed his face into poofy blonde hair. Cael squirmed until his arms were free enough to wrap back and sighed.

"I need to finish my homework." He shivered weakly as Cylas huffed against his scalp and pulled his head back a little.

"You have all day….~3"

Hours later, as the sun was nearly finished setting outside his window, Cael jerked awake with a groan. Sleepy eyes blinked at the ceiling, slid to the side and focused on Cylas with his shit eating grin, vaguely noticed stupid long arms wrapped around him, keeping him close and warm. Brows furrowed and moved to his window, furrowed further and moved to his clock.

8:15 P.M...

"God. Dammit."
