This is my first fanfic and it's a one-shot (I don't plan on continuing) and I know it's a piece of shit but review…please and by the way this was for my summer reading project and I just thought I would post it on here sooo yep

Disclaimer: If y'all really do think I am Suzanne Collins…well…you have GOT to find some help! Thank ya! On with the story

This is my alternate ending starting on page two hundred eighty-eight of The Hunger Games:

…Conflicting emotions cross Thresh's face. He lowers the rock, and then quickly raises it. "I'm sorry, but I have to be victor… for my family and Rue's."

I saw one tear drop from his eye before it went dark

Peeta's Point of View

I wake up drowsy, noticing that Katniss wasn't beside me. I recall that she tricked me into taking some sleep syrup so that she could go get the medicine for my leg. I look outside the small opening in our cave to see that I had been knocked out for at least a day if not more. I kept telling myself that Katniss would come back and she is probably up in a tree somewhere.

About an hour passed until the anthem started playing, Glimmer's face popped up and afterwards so did… no, it couldn't be.

Katniss couldn't have died, I refused to believe it. If Katniss had died, I had no right to live. I couldn't go back to twelve knowing that I had practically killed Katniss. I slowly get the sharpest rock that I could find and pierce it through my heart knowing I would meet Katniss in heaven.

Thresh's Point of View

I knew Cato had been following me ever since I killed Glimmer and

Katniss at the Cornucopia. I still feel like I owe Katniss for doing all those things for Rue.

A rustling to my right interrupts my thoughts; I quickly swing the heaviest backpack I have towards the disturbance. I feel that I had hit something.

Once I clear the batch of the tall grass I notice that I had hit Cato into unconsciousness. I took the sword from his hand and reminded myself "For Rue" before I quickly pierced it through his heart. The cannon is shot for Cato with Claudius Templesmith's voice following. "Greetings to the final contestants of the Seventy-fourth Hunger Games. Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor."

Now all I had to do is kill the girl with the red hair form district five. I knew she was smart and sneaky which might be the reasons why she would be the hardest person to kill out of everyone. I knew I had to find her and kill her… for Rue.

I didn't sleep all night afraid that she would find me in my sleep and I didn't want to move in case that she could do a sneak attack. I decided to move at the crack of dawn.

I pass the Cornucopia and head my way to the heart of the forest. She had to be around here somewhere. I kept walking for about half a day until I stopped to rest.

I sit and lean on a tree and told myself that I would close my eyes for just a second.

I wake up to rustling behind me. Dang it, I fell asleep and now she's found me. I still have my eyes closed when she goes around the tree to me. This is my chance to win. I know she right in front of my face when I punch her on her temple, knocking her out. I get a knife from one of the backpacks that I have and remind myself for the last time "for Rue."

I had always thought about how lucky Katniss was to have Thresh spare her life. I wondered what would have happened if Thresh did not let her go so I wrote an alternative ending of which Thresh killed Katniss. I changed the point of views because I wanted the story to continue. Please review! Tell me if you hate it, love it, or whatever!
