"Oi Doctor! Shift it or we will be late."
"Here I am." He trotted into the console room with his jacket in one hand and a comb in the other. "Can't get the bloody hair to behave."
He attacked it with the comb trying to make it stand up like his previous self. But his new hair being finer and thinner only managed to look silly.
"Here, give me that." Donna snatched the comb and smoothed his hair down and to one side." You are not a demented hedgehog anymore, and your tie is all crooked." She reached out and straightened it.
"Aaack, you're choking me!" He put a finger under his collar only to have it slapped away.
"Oi spaceman."
"Don't know how I managed to wear those things every day," he grumbled as he slipped on his jacket and tugged again at the tie.
Donna sighed and tossed the comb onto the console. Turning to her the Doctor asked "Well how do I look?"
He was wearing a three piece charcoal gray suit, a white wing collared shirt and a black Windsor tie. On his feet were low cut black Converse's with black and red polka dotted socks peeping out above them.
"You would have to wear those socks."
"Hey, I happen to like these socks." He said making his pale blue protuberant eyes pop out even further for emphasis.
"Don't start with the eye thing. You know how it creeps me out."
"Okay, just lay off the socks."
Donna sighed again and picked up her purse and gloves. "Well, come on then we are going to be late. How do I look by the way?" She was wearing a purple suit and a horror of a pink and purple hat that involved chiffon and fabric roses. Over the top but perfect for an English wedding.
"You look very lovely, Miss Noble. Shall we?"

"So how does it seem to be back traveling with the Doctor?" Martha asked as she maneuvered her dress into a chair opposite Donna.
"It's good, having my memory back and some of the Time Lord stuff. And weird too, with him being different. Not just in looks either. He is quieter, less crazy. And he hardly eats enough for a bird." She glanced at his barely touched plate. He had taken a few bites then gone off to talk to Jack." Skinny boy was a feeding frenzy."
"He is different." Martha agreed, "Took me by surprise when I saw him in the street."
The subject of their conversation strode across the floor towards them. Since the reception started he had managed to lose his tie and had opened the top buttons of his shirt. And he had been at his bloody hair again .
"Mrs. Milligan." he said with a little bow, " May I have this dance?"
"Why certainly, Doctor." She rose and together they went out to the floor.
Jack came over to stand behind Donna, bottle of beer in his hand. "He looks happy today, I'm glad. He had a rough time with the regeneration, coming to terms with his new look."
"It does take some getting used to." Donna agreed, "He is the same height as me and those eyes."
Jack chuckled "And how are you doing, Donna? I am sorry about roughing you up, but I figured it was the best to get you out of that park before someone called the cops."
"S'okay Jack, I am glad to be back traveling with the Doctor. And I am sorry for kicking you. Are you alright?"
"Yeah, Ianto can vouch for that."
They were interrupted by a commotion on the dance floor. Apparently the Doctor had stepped on Martha's dress. Apologizing profusely, he fished a pair of pince nez out of his waistcoat and put them on to examine the damage.
Jack and Donna laughed. "Yes, he is still the Doctor."
