The Doctor lands in a park in an unknown city on Earth. The TARDIS does not display the city name. "Classified city? What?"
The Doctor walks out and walks in the direction of the town. He feels his hearts beating faster.
"Huh? My hearts are beating faster, but I don't feel anything strange," commented the Doctor to himself as he checked with his stethoscope.
In the town, the Doctor is sitting at a cafe, brainy specs on, playing around with his sonic screwdriver. "There's a morphic field around the city, but what does it do? It doesn't do any major effect!"
A girl is hiding behind a tree, but the Doctor doesn't notice. He takes his brainy specs off and takes a sip of tea. Suddenly, he hears a voice from the next table.
"You there! Look out!" cried a boy from the next table, who was sitting with a few other boys and girls. Suddenly, the girl comes out from behind the tree and attacks the Doctor with a laser beam.
The Doctor falls to the ground, with the teacup broken next to him.
The Doctor sees two eggs in front of him. "What are they?" he said before they disappeared.
He gets up with the help of the teenagers on the table next to him. "Hi, my name is Kukai Souma. What's yours?"
"I'm the Doctor. Hello," the Doctor said, struggling.
Kukai introduces him to his friends, Tadase Hotori, Nadeshiko Fujisaki, Yaya Yuiki and Amy Hinamori.
The Doctor struggles back onto his chair and is surprised to see fairies. "What? Am I going crazy?"
Tadase steps up and explains. "No, Doctor, you are not going crazy. We are the Guardians, and the fairies that you see, are called Guardian Characters. Look on your table, Doctor, I think they're hatching right now."
"What? I only see one, so what happened to the other one?"
The girl from the tree laughs. "Looking for your other? It's with me now!" She laughs some more before running off.
The Doctor is surprised at the appearance of his other egg. "Why is my other egg black with an X on it?"
Tadase replies, "We'll explain later. But for now, you should check out your new Guardian Character."
