Kagura stepped out of the store, a bag of groceries in hand. She pulled out a can of juice and cracked it open. She was currently out on one of her night runs, and had decided to stop off and grab a few things from the shop.

Taking a swig of her juice, Kagura spotted someone she hadn't expected to see walking by.

"Woah, Sakaki; funny seeing you here!" Kagura greeted her friend.

"Hello." Sakaki said with a light smile.

"So, where're you off to Sakaki?" Kagura asked, already grinning.

"Home." Sakaki said.

"Do you mind if I tag along?"

"I don't mind." Kagura's grin widened.

"So then Tomo makes for the window, but Yomi grabs her by the collar! She nearly choked Tomo out; then Tomo played it up and started pretending to be way more hurt than she was. You could tell that it was getting to Yomi, with her looking really concerned, but she was still trying to look angry about Tomo ruining her homework!" Kagura laughed heartily as she told her anecdote. "Ah man Sakaki, you should've been there!"

"It sounded like fun." Sakaki said with a smile. Kagura slowed to a stop and turned to Sakaki, who stopped beside Kagura. "Is there something wrong?"

"Miss Sakaki, could I ask you...a question?" Kagura said nervously, trying to keep her eyes on Sakaki and not simply turn away.

"What is it?" Sakaki cocked her head slightly, her long black hair flowing over her shoulder as she did.

"Do you…" Kagura shifted uncomfortably. "We're friends, aren't we?"

"Yes." Sakaki said with a nod. Kagura took in a deep breath.

"Do you 'like' me?" Kagura put emphasis on the word.

"Of course." Sakaki said; she cocked her head to the side again.

"And I 'like' you." Kagura said. Sakaki nodded. "So...would you like to go out with me?" Kagura asked tentatively.

"Like now?" Sakaki asked.

"No...or yes, I guess." Kagura scratched the back of her neck. "I mean going as more than just friends. Going out as...well, you know…" A coy smile found it's way onto Sakaki's lips.

"Like now?"

"W-what do you mean?" Kagura asked.

Sakaki leaned in and captured Kagura's lips in a soft kiss. A short, sweet moment passed between the two as they both reveled in the contact. Sakaki pulled back with that same coy smile, while Kagura was left speechless, her mouth opening and closing in dumbfounded awe as she searched for the words.

"D-does this mean…" Kagura said breathlessly after a short while.

"Yes, Kagura." Sakaki said simply, as she always did. Kagura bounced back suddenly.

"Awesome! You and me Sakaki; this is so awesome!" Kagura leaped up in joy. "I'm so happy right now, you don't even know!"

"I'm glad." Kagura slowed down, letting out a breath.

"So, you wanna make out?" Sakaki raised an eyebrow.

"Yes."

A/N: I've been wanting to write for Sakaki and Kagura for a long time now. I'm sorry this was so short, but it was all I had. Hopefully I'll be able to make something longer next time.

Thanks for reading!
