AN~ alright, briar and sandry are "together" but not officially. Daja and Tris are aware of it, but Lark and Rosethorn haven't got a clue. They think the two are just immature around eachother because, well, they are. The girls are curently on the roof, talking.
"Sandry! Get down here right now!" Lark shrill voice rang throughout the house, reaching the young girls sitting on the roof. Sandry winced. It looked like Lark had found her out.
"Oooh... Sandry... you're in trouble now," Daja said, "Better get down there before she really gets mad." Sandry growled and stuck out her tounge defiantly as she went inside.
"Yeah, Sandry, don't want to get Briar mad, either," Tris added.
"Yes, Lark," Sandry called innocently. As long as she pretended not to know anything, she might be able to pass this off as an accident. Sandry walked into the kitchen where she was greeted by a glaring Lark.
"Do you have any idea how this may have happened?" Lark moved aside to reveal Briar, shirtless, with a heap of threads beneath him.
"Um... no....?" Sandry lied. She generally never lied to anyone, but she just didn't feel like getting in trouble today. Besides, she was just getting back at Briar for short-sheeting her bed last week. Nevermind why he was in her room on the first place.
"Gods, Lark, can I go now? I don't wanna be standin' in front of Sandry like this," Briar whined, attempting to cover himself. Sandry grinned. "I'm cold too, let me just go get a shirt..."
"Sandry, I'm surprised at you," Lark said, brushing off Briar's request, "Really, magicking a shirt to fall apart after two hours of wear. I just don't know what to say. You should be ashamed. Not only are you too old for this, sixteen years, at that; you're also a noble," Sandry blushed, " I want you to apologize to Briar."
"Sorry, Briar," Sandry mumbled and turned to leave.
"That's not all young lady," Lark stopped her, "I want you and Briar to take over all the household chores for the next week." Briar and Sandry gasped, "That includes cooking, cleaning, and washing. Maybe a little time together will help you two outgrow this childish teasing." Lark turned on her heels, and walked out of the room, leaving two shocked teens.
"Now look what you've done, Sandry," Briar said, "I've got to spend time with *you*." Briar made a face.
"I don't want to do this anymore than you do, and put on a shirt, you're... you're... something..." she trailed off, for lack of a word, so she just poked him in the chest. Briar laughed.
"Ha. Pretty-headed Sandry can't think of anything," he teased.
"Oh! I'll show you!" Sandry growled, jumping at him. Briar quickly moved out of the way and Sandry tripped over his foot. "Briar! You are so mean," Sandry fake-pouted, sitting on the floor.
"Here, I'll help you," Briar said, feeling a little bad. He offered his hand to Sandry. Instead of taking it, she yanked hard, pulling Briar down with her. Briar smiled.
"Well, if that's how you want to be..." he said, placing his arms around her. He moved nearer, leaning close to her face, just inches from her mouth. Briar traced his finger along her cheek, memorizing every curve of her face, causing shivers to run up Sandry's spine, and moving closer yet, his lips brushed hers.
"You know, if you two are going to do that, you should do it when no one's around," Tris said from above them.
"Catdirt!" Sandry muttered. 'And we were so close' Briar and Sandry groaned and reluctantly got up. Yet another moment ruined. At this rate, they would never be alone together.
AN~ yeah thats it for now, Ive got the next ch. done already, ill post it if i get 8 reviews, please review!!!
