Marina looked around Hibernaculum. Everything seemed so dull, now that Shade was gone. Everyone was hurt by the fact that he had died. Marina looked at Griffin, who was hanging next to her. He was hurt the worst. He had barely known his father. Marina sighed and closed her eyes. She was tired, but she knew she probably wouldn't be able to sleep. She opened her eyes, and everyone was gone. "Hello?" she called out. She heard a noise behind her and turned around. There was a bat she didn't recognize hanging in front of her. Suddenly she was outside Tree Haven and saw Shade flying towards her. "Shade..." she whispered, crying silently. Suddenly, Goth flew in out of nowhere and killed Shade. "No!" Marina cried. She tried to fly attack Goth, but she couldn't move. Flash!
Marina was standing over Luna, trying to heal the burns with berries. The ground started shaking, she fell over, and... Everything was dark. A soft but strong voice floated out of the blackness.
"Marina... do you know who I am?" it asked.
"Nocturna" Marina whispered.
"Do you love Shade?" Nocturna asked
"Yes, you know I love him!" Marina said.
"Do you miss him?"
"Yes...why are you taunting me like this?" Marina asked, beginning to cry.
"What if you could get him back?"
"There isn't a way...he's d-d-d-dead!" Marina sobbed.
"There might be a way ... at the back of the cave, there is a hole at the base of the wall. I will be there...". there was a silence.
"Hello?" Marina cried. "Hello!"
"Mom, mom, MOM, are you okay?!" Griffin asked, shaking Marina awake.
"What, wait, I...".
"Mom, you were crying and yelling. Are you okay?" Griffin asked.
"I'm...I'm fine." Marina lied.
"Okay, good" Griffin said.
"Just...go back to sleep, honey." Marina said, with her mind still in her conversation with Nocturna. "...might be a way...back of the cave...I will be there...". Marina shool her head. It was just a dream...or was it?
