Time and Space

Tears slowly dripping down from his eyes, he sullenly watched as they made contact with the water below him. The solemn tears that escaped his eyes distorted his downcast reflection that stared back up at him, mimicking his every movement.

He wished he wasn't here.

Sinking down to his knees, the sky unleashed its gloomy tears of dreariness, soaking into the boy's fur and mixing in with his own tears. They repeatedly pattered down upon the water in front of him, relentless and unforgiving.

He wanted to go somewhere far away.

Circling his arms around himself, the male clenched his eyes shut and allowed his tears to roam free with the sky's cold rain. The wind blew fiercely, tempting to knock him down into the water that was portrayed in front of him like a painting. The towering trees around him danced in the cool wind, furious and strong.

He wanted to be with her.

When he opened his eyes, his vision was not met with his own reflection, but hers. She was staring up at him with that beautiful face of hers, giving him a soft and serene smile. Her expression displayed tranquility and longing…love.

"Cosmo…" he breathed through his harsh sobs. "…Cosmo, I want to be with you again. Please come back to me, Cosmo…Cosmo…" letting go of himself, he reached his gloved hands down towards the clear water, towards the image of his sweet Cosmo.

The smile on her face remained and his tears continued to fall from his eyes, distorting her beautiful image. She reached up with her hands towards him from the clear water. She wanted to be with him again too.

Fingers brushing against the surface of the water, her image, Cosmo's own fingers touched his. It was gentle and her touch was so familiar and warm. He leaned forward towards the water, the wind around him growing more violent, the rain coming down much harsher.

As the wind pushed against him, he let himself go.

Water splashing all around, rain pounding against the earth, wind breaking through everything, he found himself sinking downwards into the darkness below…down, down into the watery depths the lake had to offer.

Reaching out towards her as he sank, he could feel himself being enveloped in her warm embrace. She ceased his tears and caressed his cheeks. He hugged her tight and didn't let go. He never let go.

Intertwined with each other, they both floated through time and space, floating in its endless abyss for all eternity, trapped in each other's arms.

They were together again…forever…
