Geek in the Pink
Ch. 1: Disturbance
"Damn brat! Is he totally incapable of cleaning up after himself?! My living room is a disaster zone! There are empty CD cases, scraps of paper, and pencil shavings everywhere! Did he really think I wouldn't notice this mess? I can't decide whether I should clean it up now and give him the silent treatment when he gets home, or leave it as it is and chew him out later. Maybe I should just change the locks again before he gets home." Suddenly, a loud banging noise came from the front door, dragging Eiri Yuki from his thoughts.
"That idiot. He probably forgot his keys again," Yuki said shuffling through some papers trying to find site of the pop star's keys.
"Yuuuuuuukiiiiiiiiii," another bang from behind the door, "I forgot my keys again Yuki, open up!"
"Hmmm," Yuki thought, " maybe if I just ignore him he'll leave after awhile."
No such luck when it came to Shuichi Shindou. For several more minutes he stood outside the door, begging and pleading to be let in. Yuki couldn't take it anymore. He swung open the door and a little pink haired person stared up at him in surprise.
"Yukiiiiii," the boy squealed as he attempted to wrap his arms around his lover. As usual, Yuki pushed him away and gave him one of his famous 'I hate you' faces.
"Shouldn't you be at work?"
"Yes, but I forgot my keys. Then when I reached for my phone in my pocket to call you I realized I had forgotten that too."
Yuki took a long, deep sigh and rubbed his forehead, moving out of the way so Shuichi could come in. "So what made you think you could come back here and bang on my door like an idiot? You're lucky one of the neighbors didn't call security on you."
"Hey, it's not my fault you wouldn't open the door!"
"Yes it is."
"What did you say, Yuki?"
"Nothing, just hurry up. Find your shit and leave before that lunatic manager of yours blows another hole in the wall looking for your stupid ass!"
Shuichi gave Yuki a half-angry, half-pouty face, then grabbed his cell phone and keys from under a few pieces of paper with discarded lyrics on them. "I swear Yuki, you can be so mean sometimes."
"Yeah, yeah, what else is new," Yuki replied as he opened the front door signaling for Shuichi to leave, "Now hurry up and get the hell out of here."
Shuichi smiled and headed toward the door. Before leaving, he stood up on his tip-toes and placed a kiss on Yuki's cheek.
"I love you too, Yuki."
