'Hey, want to hang out today? I got a little bit of baking for us to do if you want?' Dinged from his phone, and though Nino had been sort of trying to sleep in, he couldn't help his bright smile as he grabbed his phone and scrolled through the latest two texts from his girlfriend.

Nino wouldn't have imagined any of this more than five years ago before they'd really gotten a chance to talk and somehow all of the little texts from her made his heart warm up. Just, being near her felt as natural as air, and he couldn't believe how much had changed over the years. It wasn't supposed to be the two of them dating if you looked back at their pasts: her crush and his sadly, short lived relationship though they were still friends with both people. Nino was just happy to be with someone that definitely made him so, so happy to just be around.

'What time do you need me there, Mari?' He typed out and smiled while he waited for her reply, glancing back around his room, looking for his wayward, favorite cap and for something decent to wear that could be caked with flour by the end of the day.

'Soon, if you don't mind help me bake a whole load of cupcakes. Mom and Dad somehow got me roped into baking when I visited them today.' He could imagine her smiling anyway at that; she loved her parents and despite her ultimate passion being fashion or design, she loved baking.

'Yeah, I'm cool with that. I'll be over in five.' He got up, finding the clothes that he'd end up wearing which really didn't take that long, an old T-Shirt that he really liked wearing when he wasn't heading out to DJ or film and a pair of jeans. All that he had to do was grab his favorite ballcap and slip on his shoes, and he was off.

It didn't take him all that long to walk over to the bakery, may be three minutes though he was walking at a decent pace to get there a little earlier. Just seeing the bakery up close again brought to mind so many memories of when they were just friends or when they'd just started dating or even the reminder that only about a month ago, he'd came to help his girlfriend out in the bakery too.

One day, he had a feeling that he wouldn't just be calling her 'girlfriend' as he really did like the idea of spending forever with the woman that made him smile whenever he got a text from her or was sweeter than Nino'd ever expected to find. One day, his apartment wouldn't be his, and he'd have a bigger place with the fashion designer that Nino had fallen for quite a few times over.

He couldn't wait until the day that this became so much more than normal, to the day when they were definitely making the walk to her parents' bakery together, to drop in to say hi or just show up to help out.
