Soft white snowflakes tapped against the windows on this cold night. It was the middle of a blizzard, and all of the Nordics were stuck (yet again) at Denmark's house. They doubted that they would be able to leave for the night, maybe even not for the next couple days. Yes, blizzards were terrible. Even in this day and age a blizzard could demand full attention. Even now in modern day Denmark it was a difficult thing to overcome.

But just because they were stuck, the Nordics wouldn't complain about that. No, though they fought endlessly they still loved and cared for each other. They were with the people they cared for most in the world.

Denmark sat upon the couch, his arm wrapped around Iceland as the other leaned into his touch. The Dane rested his head atop the younger male's as he whispered small words of love, making sure that only his dear Icelander could hear them. He reached down and laced their fingers together, holding onto the boy's hand tightly as he chuckled. Apparently there were certain funny things to be said, though Iceland's face only became flushed.

Norway sat in the chair opposite them, looking down at the newspaper in his hand. His phone had long stopped its vibrations as the storm knocked out the lines, effectively cutting his loving texts off. He was the only one in the household without his partner, but he didn't mind (in favor of some alone time).

At first the two kept their relationship a secret from Norway, for good reason. Norway did not approve at first, but soon came t see how much Denmark and Iceland truly cared for the other. And boy did they. There was not a moment that passed without the two being together.

They laughed together, cooked together, watched television together… Heck, they even cleaned together. It was like a repeat of the relationship between Sweden and Finland, though their personalities were completely different. That didn't mean that there was no love to be shown though.

After a bit, Finland walked into the room. He was holding a tray filled with mugs, and handed each Nordic (minus Sweden) their respective cup of coffee. Sweden was soon to follow with a tray of small cookies, treats for all of them to share.

As they gathered around the coffee table, each nation took a seat on the floor. Partners cuddled and kissed as the remaining lone Nation dipped his cookie into his coffee.

Times like this were perfect. The five of them sat in Denmark's living room, sharing their stories and spending time with those they loved. Nothing could make the moment any better. Not when it was just the five of them as it used to be.

And soon the moments had to end. It was time for bed, and Denmark had other plans for he and his boyfriend. It was time for them to spend a moment together, away from the other's prying eyes.

"I love you." Denmark said in his native language, pinning Iceland to the bed. His hands were around the other's wrists as he spoke, his lips brushing against a pale neck.

"I love you too." Iceland repeated, eyes falling closed as he let out a small moan.

This was written a while ago for a follower of mine on Tumblr. I know it's not very long, and doesn't focus too much on Denmark and Iceland, but I really like it. I hope you guys do too ^^
