Chapter 1
Skye's POV
"Can we pretend like airplanes in the night sky like shooting stars
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now"
My alarm clock went off playing my favorite song. I got out of bed and walked to my bathroom. I brushed my teeth then got in the shower. After my shower I wrapped a towel around my body and walked to my closet. I looked around my closet and finally found my black skinny jeans, my favorite white shirt with a different colored zebra on it, and my black converse that all my friend drew on. I finished getting dressed and walked to my vanity. I brushed threw my hair and left it down. I have blue eyes [pic on profile] which in my opinion do don't go with my caramel skin but my bothers and dad say they do and I look beautiful. I sighed and walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. My dad and 2 brothers were already in the kitchen eating breakfast. I sat down next to 1 of my brothers Sam. Sam and Alex are my stepbrothers. Sam and Alex's parents got divorced and they stayed with their dad and then their dad met my mom got married to her and then I came along. Sam is 18, has the same blue eyes as me, has cream colored skin, and has black hair that is always in his eyes. Alex is 17,has the same blue eyes, has cream skin, and has black hair like Sam but it doesn't hang in his eyes. The only reason their skin is a different color than mine is because both of their parents are white and my mom is a caramel color like me. I ate my cereal and put my bowl in the sink. I kissed my dad goodbye and Sam grabbed his keys and walked out the door. He walked up to his black Volvo and climbed in I got in the passenger seat and Alex got in the back. The drive to school took about 10 minutes, but when we got there we still had 10 minutes before the bell rang. I saw some of my friends sitting on the steps talking. I walked towards them and sat down next to Grace. Grace is 16 [like me], has green eyes, and has blonde hair that hangs mid-back. Next is Kendall he is 16, has brown eyes, and has short brownish-blondish hair. Last is Logan, he is 16, has brown eyes, and has short brown hair. Grace was talking about the new kid we were getting and Kendall, Logan, and Alex were talking about the upcoming basketball game. The bell rang and I stood up and stretched. One of my arms went back and hit somebody right in the face. "I'm so sorry, I didn't know you were behind me." I said while turning around. "It's cool" he said while walking past me. I grabbed my book bag and walked to first period.
