WAITING GAME

Dean hit the button to play back his phone messages. There were only two, neither from Kevin and the hunter huffed quietly, gaze flicking to his waiting brother. He shook his head and hung up the phone. "Nothin'."
Sam sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Dammit. How can he not have anything yet?"
"Relax. The kid's working as hard as he can—trust me. I've seen him."
"I know. It's just that…"
"Just what?"
"Nothing. I'm just antsy, you know? Hate this endless waiting in the wings."
"Yeah, I know. But all we can do is wait."
"Right."
