Happy 22nd birthday, Jess! (hugs) I finally remembered; third time lucky!
New fandom. I'm nervous. Did this in a ridiculous timespan last night.
"Oh, for goodness sake!" Seto muttered. He had finally finished the immensely tedious job of organsing a spreadsheet of the company's sales revenue for the last quarter and his head was throbbing. Four hours that thing had taken him. It was now nearly three in the morning and he was about ready to drop. So, he had done all that needed to be done in the bathroom, fumbled out of his clothes (flinging them in a 'neat pile' on the floor) and headed for the bedroom door. Now he leaned on the doorway and groaned aloud.
Jounouchi was lying flat on Seto's bed in a position closely resembling that of a recumbent starfish, mouth gaping open. The duvet had clearly been thrown aside as it lay crumpled down the lower left half of his body.
Why, Seto wondered, had he not heard his snoring before? His earlier groan was also prompted by the sight of Jounouchi's clothes strewn everywhere. Trousers over the bedpost, socks ... one sock on the window sill, the other half inside-out on the carpet, shirt in a little creased heap near one outstretched foot. Seto briefly considered banging his head against the doorframe, but decided it wasn't worth the pain.
It wasn't that he minded Jou sleeping at his when the younger man's job as a door-to-door salesman ended closer to his house than it did Jounouchi's flat, it was just that there were times when he really wanted a bed to himself. He walked into the dark room and sat down heavily on the bed. Jounouchi twitched and opened his eyes in a prolonged blink.
"Mm ... hey, Seto," he mumbled before closing his eyes again and seeming to sink straight back into sleep.
"Move, you lazy dog," Seto grumbled, shoving the inert mass called Jounouchi ineffectively.
"Maybe I don't wanna."
"I thought you were asleep."
"So did I." Jounouchi yawned widely and shuffled aside. "Productive," he checked the clock, "evening? You look completely knackered."
"Thanks."
"Any time, any time." He grinned as Seto lay down, pointedly facing away from him.
"Why are you in my bed?" Seto asked wearily. Jounouchi shrugged.
"'Cause it's comfier than mine?" he offered. "Anyway," he yawned again, his eyes watering, "I'm going back to sleep now." True to his word, within seconds his gurgling snores were filling the room and Seto was debating the many uses of a pillow in quieting the noise. Setting the temptation of violence aside, he settled for gaining control of the duvet.
Eight o'clock in the morning. The alarm went off. Jounouchi woke up and tried to stretch, only to find himself somewhat confined.
'Aw,' he thought as he detangled himself from Seto's unconscious embrace, 'knew he loved me really!'
Are they together in this? Who knows?
