"Lord sesshomaru...what is a star?" The young, brown haired girl asked curiously as she gazed up into the dark skies. She was walking close behind her lord as usual as the question popped into her mind and who wouldnt know if her great lord sesshomaru. Yet she didnt have to wait long after she finished the question before a certain annoying creature decided to but in. "Rin! Dont bother our lord with such silly questions!" jaken practically yelled as he waved his staff in an attempt to look superior, yet obviously failed. "Such nonsense is beneath our lords greatness" The girl looked over at him, tilting her head. "Then do you know master Jaken?" He stiffened before he with slightly red cheeks sputtered "o-of course. Stars are stars...as simple as that" Rin looked blankly at the froglike creature before rolling her eyes with a smile. "Rin was once told that the stars are the souls of those we lost, watching over us" she stated with a singsong voice as she happily moved after their silent leader. "If that case, my mother is up there...watching and helping me" her eyes softened as she gazed up, and a pair of golden eyes glanced in her direction without her knowing. "Maybe she helped me find lord Sesshomaru and master jaken!" She stated with a grin as the imp of course started to sputter again, before getting into some of his speeches about silly human girls. At that time a certain inu lord had toned them out and was instead watching the skies, staying silent. As if responding to his gaze, a star seemed to shine brighter for a moment. He blinked, pushing away any thoughts if his wards words and adverted his eyes, focusing on the road ahed as he searched out for a place to camp. As they moved on the star once again brightened, as the former inu lord smiled from his heavenly home. His son was finally becoming who he was meant to be, and Inuytaisho couldnt be prouder.
