Growing up in pure isolation does something to someone. Only ever knowing one person, who teaches you about the world through only their own prospective. What happens when you lose that single person and are forced to cope on your own in a world you know so little about?
Winifred Kensington has spent her whole life in the same small remote cottage deep in the forest of western Virginia. She was born on the same bed she sleeps in, took her first steps in the very kitchen she is now responsible of cleaning. Every milestone throughout her sixteen years of life has been under that leaky roof.
With the death of her mother weighing heavily upon her shoulders she is forced to face the world for herself. Not only the human world she knows nearly nothing about but also the supernatural part she finds herself connected too.
She must start from scratch and learn as much as she can, as quickly as she can, if she hopes to survive this new reality.
