Austin Moon was just your normal, average, everyday teenager. Apart from the fact he was an international pop superstar. That was the only thing that wasn't normal about him. Although some fans would disagree, he would say he's normal.
He has the normal teenage crushes.
He has the normal teenage hormones.
And at the moment, he was eagerly awaiting a text back from his current crush, songwriter, and best friend, Ally Dawson.
Recently, he had asked her out on a date, and after she smiled, and kindly said 'Maybe.', his heart jumped. He was elated she actually said that. It wasn't what he wanted to hear, but it wasn't what he dreaded to hear, either. That response sat perfectly in the middle, both gratifying him, and worrying him.
His phone buzzed, and he jumped at the sound. After waiting for almost three weeks, not hearing anything back from her on the subject of their date, he had begun to think that she had rejected him.
He reached for his phone on the coffee table, anxious to read the message. His heart sank lower as he read on.
'Austin, I don't want to go out with you. I like you only as a friend. You're a great friend and I don't want to ruin that. I hope you understand.'
He was nearly on the verge of tears, but Austin Moon was not one known to cry over a girl. Although, he couldn't deny that Ally Dawson did have good reasoning. After all, she was the dorky, nerdy girl that he loved.
If they broke up, would she still help him with songwriting, and would he continue to help her get over her stage fright? That was the only problem.
He didn't deny the fact that he was, in a way, relieved. Now, after almost three weeks of no speaking what-so-ever, he had closure on the subject.
At the same time, however, he was heartbroken. She would never know how much he loved her, and he wanted her to know. He wanted her to know how much he cared for her, how much he loved her, and how much he cherished her presence.
He was now determined to be with her. He had to tell her, even if it meant annoying the hell out of her about it, it would all be worth it in the end.
Little did he know, things weren't going to go exactly as planned. Now, their friendship isn't the only thing in jeopardy.
What do you guys think? Want me to continue?
