Hey guys, so this story is on Wattpad under the name melvninexe. I decided to put this story on here as well so more people can enjoy it. But I do only write these stories for my own pleasure so if you don't like something then you don't have to read. However I do accept constructive critisism. Lastly I don't own Fairy Tail, that belongs to Hiro Mashima. The only thing that belongs to me is my OC. The person who is the face claim for my OC is melvnin. She's a model on Instagram if you want to look her up.

Anyways, please enjoy!

~Anais's POV~

It was early in the morning and a cool breeze had settled over the forest I was currently venturing through. I had been walking for about half an hour since I had left Hargeon.

I was on my way to a certain guild that was stationed in Magnolia, Fairy Tail. From hearing snippets of conversations in the towns I had passed through or stayed at, the strongest members of Fairy Tail had just come back from their S-Class trials.

Said trials had been held seven years ago. And they had only just gotten back.

I had also heard that Fairy Tail hadn't been doing so well these past few years, but that was the least of my worries. They should be fine now that they have the rest of their guild back.

There was someone there I wanted to see. He had gone on the S-Class trials but now that he was back I felt now would be the appropriate time for a visit.

Makarov Dreyar was a wise man. No wonder he had become Master. I believe he holds a wide knowledge of the world. And some of that knowledge might help me to find my true home.

Night had fallen once I reached Magnolia.

Magnolia was a beautiful place. Especially at night. The colourful lights strung along the rooftops of shops and apartments complimented the inky expanse of the night sky.

Couples and families were all out and about tonight. Either getting dinner or heading off somewhere else in the town to spend quality time with each other.

I smiled to myself, this is what I hoped to find once I found my home.

I walked around for a bit before deciding to retire in a nearby inn.

I didn't need to ask where one was as I had already found one.

Arnold's Place seemed fitting enough to reside in for the night. I planned to go to the guild tommorow to see Makarov.

I pushed the wooden door of the inn open and stepped into a little pub. There were people sitting around and drinking wildly. Shouting at each other or trying to start a bar fight. All of them were men of course so when I spotted a young woman with sleek black hair and steamy grey eyes I decided to head over to her.

Once I had weaved my way past all the sweaty drunken men all the while getting discreetly groped by a few of them I sighed in relief once I made it to the woman behind the counter. Now that I was close enough I noticed how pretty the woman really was. However she looked slightly exhausted. I guess that's how I would feel if I was stuck in a bar with rowdy men all night. She looked up on noticing my presence and smiled kindly at me.

"Hello there, how my I help you?" The woman asked in a smooth voice, managing to mask her exhasution like a pro.

I cleared my throat before returning the gesture, "I was wondering if you had any rooms available just for tonight." The woman smiled before nodding.

"Yes we certainly do. Your lucky as well because it happens to be our last room that's unoccupied. The rest are being used for, uhh, certain activities."

I didn't entirely get what the woman was referring to but nodded nonetheless.

"Alright well, I'll take that room. I'm only gonna be here for a bit." I said.

The woman gave me a strange look but nodded.

"Ok then, that will be 150 Jewels please." The woman said as she wrote down some stuff on a piece of paper, "May I ask for your name Miss?" The woman looked up at me expectingly.

"Anais Mason." I replied. She nodded and wrote it down on the paper.

She then opened a drawer that held a singular metal key inside. She grabbed it and placed it gently in my hand.

"Here's your key Miss Anais. If you have any problems don't hesitate to call me. Your room number is on the back of this key."

I smiled politely, "Thank you Miss...", I trailed off, waiting for the woman to fill in the blank.

"Tara Uzuchi." The black haired woman finished off with a smile.

"Thank you Miss Tara." I said. She nodded at me one more time before telling me to have a good night.

I made my way back through all the disgustingly drunk men without getting groped this time and headed up the small spiral staircase to the second floor.

Upon entering the second floor I almost gagged at the smell. It was like a mixture of sweat and something musky. I couldn't quite pinpoint it at all but the smell was revolting.

Next were the strange noises and bangs against the walls. I could distinctively hear the voices of both men and women and...moaning?

'Oh hell no!' I thought angrily to myself.

This could not be happening. I was stuck in an inn with drunk men and even more drunk couples getting it on. It was no wonder that Tara had been the only woman downstairs besides me. The rest of the females had been upstairs.

..."the rest are being used for, uhh, certain activities."...

I just had to get what Tara was talking about now.

I practically flew towards my designated room and swiftly unlocked the door.

Room 727

'That has a nice ring to it.' I thought to myself as I sighed in relief. Happy that I had gotten away from that vile corridor, I closed the door quickly and locked it before taking my backpack off my shoulders and placing it carefully on the floor next to the semi-decent bed.

After standing in the middle of my room for a minute or so as to make sure that I couldn't hear anything going on in the neighbouring rooms I finally sat down to relax.

I had been on my feet for most of the day. My determination to find the truth had really improved my perseverance. But it had also taken a massive toll on me.

As I sat there thinking about what I would say to the guild master tommorow a loud bang snapped me out of my train of thought.

Shortly after, the banging continuned and increased in it's speed. Soon after loud moans followed, along with shouts of 'Oh yes!', 'Harder!' and 'I'm almost there!'.

I grabbed my pillow and screamed in frustration. I should have gone to stay somewhere else. I really prefer the cold forest floor to this right about now.

This was going to be a long night...

I awoke to the sound of silence. I yawned loudly before sitting up and streching my tight muscles.

I hadn't been able to fall asleep until around three in the morning. Those couples sure had a lot of stamina.

Finally deciding to get out of bed, I walked over to my backpack and opened it up.

I sat there for about a minute thinking about my outfit of choice before a small poof sound made itself known. Looking down I saw a pile of clothes, a towel and flannel set and a bag of toiletries sitting before me.

I picked the items up and made my way to the bathroom.

I closed the door behind me and set my stuff down on the bathroom sink. I stripped out of my clothes and hopped into the shower but not before grabbing my toiletries bag.

I sighed in relief as I felt the hot water pounding against my smooth chocolate toned skin. Unzipping the toiletries bag I found a nice large bottle of lavender shampoo along with some conditioner and another bottle of vanilla body wash.

I lather my long stark white hair in shampoo, enjoying the feeling of my fingertips massaging my scalp.

Over the years I had gotten a lot of strange looks from other people because of my appearance. Long white hair wasn't that unusual to see. But having a darker skin tone to everyone else could really make you stand out.

But the thing that people noticed the most were my eyes.

I've been told that my eyes are a very rare colour as well. It was a mixture of greens, purples and blues. It was like someone had grabbed these three colours and mixed them all together before applying it to my eyeballs. In all honesty I would rather have normal eyes, like brown or something, but I guess God didn't want that.

Once I had finished showering and changing I examined myself in the mirror while I brushed my wet tangled hair. My backpack really knows me well.

I was wearing a simple long sleeved, white cropped button up shirt, a pair of black skinny jeans and a pair of black combat boots. I also had on my bracelet that I had been given when I was a little girl. The bracelet was silver, with a golden hawk charm hanging off of the middle. It was something special to me. I wasn't quite sure why I still had it after all this time but I felt like it held something important. Seeing as I got it from some random person that had looked after me in my youth I guess it being the only gift I ever received from another person made it worth something in my books.

I did the rest of my morning routine and cleaned up the room before shouldering my trusty backpack and heading out the door.

I awkwardly passed by hungover couples who were stepping out of their rooms, (all at the same time might I add). I had a sudden urge to get back down to the bar pronto.

Whispers could be heard coming from people's mouths as I passed by them.

"When did she get here?" One guy 'whispered' to his partner.

"She looks pretty hot." Another woman commented while twirling her long hair around her finger and staring me down. Right in front of her boyfriend!

"If I had known she was here I would have asked her to join us." The same woman's boyfriend said in a longing tone, eyeing me down suggestively.

'Such perverts!' I thought to myself as I raced down the stairwell before anyone else could make more sexual comments.

Once I got downstairs I spotted Tara straight away. She seemed a bit more lively than last night and was serving a few customers their breakfast.

The bar looked to be in a far better condition then last night. The tables and bar counter were sparkling in the early morning sun and the floor and walls were free of any beer and puke stains. I looked around in awe, quite impressed with the outcome.

'I'd be quite shocked Miss Tara did this herself.' I thought to myself.

Just then a beautiful aroma filled my nostrils.

IT WAS FOOD!!

Smelling and seeing food made my stomach rumble. I had just realized I hadn't eaten anything last night because I was so tired. As if Tara had heard this, her eyes travelled over to me before smiling and walking over.

"Good morning Miss Anais. How was your rest?" Tara asked with a hint of amusement lingering in her tone.

I scowled playfully, waving my hand around in an exaggerated manner, "Well if I had known what you had been referring to last night I probably would have chosen somewhere else to stay."

Tara pouted before answering, "Well, I didn't want to go into detail. You were too cute for me to let you walk out that door."

'Not you too!' I internally facepalmed myself if that's even possible.

Though despite my inner thoughts I felt a strange warmth spreading across my cheeks. Was I blushing?

"Th-thanks, uhh, what do you serve for breakfast?" I asked trying to change the subject as quickly as possible.

"Here I'll show you the menu." And without another word, Tara dragged me over to the bar, her hand clasped tightly around my wrist.

"Thank you again Miss Tara." I said as I slipped off the leather barstool. Now that I had eaten I felt a whole lot better.

"Your welcome, and please, call me Tara. No need to be formal anymore." Tara smiled as she grabbed my empty plate and took it to the sink full of soapy water that was behind her.

"Well then, just call me Anais." I replied back. After checking I had everything I was about to head out when Tara's silky voice stopped me.

"Hey if you ever come by Magnolia again in the future, don't hesitate to drop by. I can give you a discount on an apartment we have. It's small but nice and quiet. I could have given it to you last night but it's rather expensive. I won't be going anywhere either." Tara winked at me playfully before waving and heading back to her bar duties.

I smiled and waved back before striding out the door in high spirits.

Once I got outside I set my sights on my destination.

After a fifteen minute walk I finally made it. To Fairy Tail.

I could feel my heart beating wildly in my chest. This was my chance. To finally know the truth about where I come from.

I stood there in front of the guild for what felt like eternity before finally reaching my hand out and pushing the large oak doors open as hard as I could.

I heard a loud bang as the oversized doors slammed against the wall deafeningly.

From what I could see the people inside the guild had been engaging in something quite brutal. There were broken cups and plates littering the floor. Tables had been broken in half. Actual humans were laying on the ground either from being knocked out or having drank to much and passed out.

My sudden entrance had caused the whole guild to turn and look at me. Not wanting to waste anymore time I cleared my throat and said with an air of authority...

"Is Makarov Dreyar here?"

Stay tuned for the next chapter peeps...
