Summary: Brennan thoughts on what Booth said in the diner.

She knew from the moment that she saw the look in his eyes and heard the words come from his mouth what she wanted more than anything in the world at that moment

More than her lab, more than her skeletons, more than a skull, more than any bone in the world. More than the truth about her parents, more than Russ being with her where she knew he was safe, more than running off with Sully, more than a girl's night out with Angela, more than a girl's night in with Angela. Because at that moment when he looked beyond her irises and into her soul, into her heart, and spoke those bewitching words she knew what she wanted more than life itself.

She wanted Thai food at three in the morning. She wanted to be drug out of her office in the middle of a chapter, or out of the lab in the middle of examining a Civil War Solider. She wanted her doors to be held open for her. She wanted her bags carried for her. She wanted the longing secret glances across the lab platform. She wanted the simple touch of a hand across her back as she was examining a victim. She wanted the secret rendezvous in the janitor's closet or in the new exhibit storeroom. She wanted the smile that melted any woman's heart to be meant for only her. She wanted love. She wanted undying love.

She didn't want sex. She didn't want to be rider to his pony. She knew with those words and those eyes that she wanted to become one, in every sense of the phrase, with Seeley Booth.

And she smiled a little smile with the knowledge that if past experiences were any indication: She always got what she wanted.

Thanks for reading!

So what did you think? And I am still working on my other stories. I'm sorry it's taken so long, I'd give you the excuses but I hate hearing them so I'm not going to share them with you, but I am working on them I promise you that! Please review and let me know how you liked it. There might be a sequel...but I'm not promising you anything.
