Kate didn't quite know why she had offered her house as a venue for Nikki's birthday party but she had. Now it was the evening of the party and Kate was waiting for the crew to arrive so they could celebrate Nav's birthday.
Kate was watching the DVD of Dirty Dancing to pass the time by. The song "Hungry Eyes" was on as the door bell rang. Kate answered it and was surprised to find Mike Flynn standing there.
"The party doesn't start until for another 30 mins" Kate said
"I know but I was just wondering if you wanted a hand" Mike replied.
Kate just looked at him
"I miss you" he said "and if there is any possibility of you taking me back I need to know"
He leaned in and kissed her. She responded by deepening the kiss and they moved things to the sofa. Mike climbed on top of Kate and deepened the kiss while running his hands through her hair. Kate started unbuttoning his shirt and soon his top half was naked. She rang her hands along his chest and could feel him harden beneath her.
He removed her top and she was running her hand along his hardening when they both heard a cough..they sprung apart and both looked guiltily at Nikki. Mike jumped off Kate.."We were just..umm..nothing" he mumbled as he left the room.
Nikki just smiled at Kate and told her they would be talking later as other guests started to arrive.
Bomber, Nikki and Kate were in Kate's kitchen.. "You and the CO?!" Bomber asked as Nikki told the story of what she had walked in on earlier.
"It is complicated" replied Kate.
"Not from what I saw!" laughed Nikki
"We were together a long time ago and split up and what you saw was the first time that has happened in a long time" said Kate
"You love him though..that much was obvious" questioned Nikki
"Tell him!" urged Bomber
Later on "Hungry Eyes" played in the living room
"I remember this" laughed Mike and he approached Kate to dance
She agreed and the crew of the Hammersley could only look in amazement as their CO leaned in for a kiss with their XO.
Kate deepened the kiss
Mike ran his hand through Kate's hair and she leaned in closer to him.
Completely forgetting where they were she started to undo the buttons on his shirt as he deepened the kiss and teased her tongue with his. They were rudely interrupted by wolf whistles
"Get in there Sir!" shouted Two Dads.
Kate and Mike reluctantly pulled apart. Kate blushed as she caught sight of the Hammersley crew staring at her and Mike.
"We will continue this later" he whispered to her
"You bet we will" she responded
