What Are You Talking About?
Author's Note: Hey guys. I'm finally back. This is a fic that takes place in an alternate ending of "The Illusionist". I was just thinking one day and this story popped into my head. I haven't written anything in a while, and this is my first "Illusionist" fanfic, so please be nice. By the way, does anyone know where the farm is that Eduard meets Sophie at at the end of the movie?
Disclaimer: I don't own "The Illusionist" or anything affiliated with it. All I own is the plot. I wish I owned Eisenheim, though. He's kinda hot.
Summary: The Illusionist Alternate ending. What if Sophie had been the one to meet Eduard at the farm? What if something went wrong, and Eduard doesn't remember her? And he's engaged to another woman? First illusionist story. Please R&R!
Sophie briskly walked into Uhl and grabbed the necklace when he wasn't paying attention. She started running towards the train station, knowing that she wouldn't have much time. As she ran, she thought about how happy she was going to be with Eduard. They were going to start a family together! All she had to do was go to the farm, and they'd be free! She smiled happily as she boarded the train. Soon she would be with Eduard. She fell asleep as the train continued.
A few hours later, Sophie woke up to see that she was at her stop. She checked to make sure that she still had her necklace. Then she got off the train and started walking in the direction that Eduard had told her to.
After about half an hour of walking, Sophie smiled as she saw the farm come into view. She looked in the back and didn't see anyone, so she figured she'd knock on the door so Eduard would know that she was here. She knocked on the door and prepared to be pulled into a big hug.
When the door opened, she smiled as she saw Eduard. She started to lean in to kiss him when he said, "Um…can I help you?"
Sophie laughed and said, "It's me, Eduard! Sophie! The plan went perfectly! Now we can be together and—." But she was cut off.
"I'm sorry?" Eduard asked, a puzzled look on his face. "Who did you say you were?"
Sophie's smile faded from her face as she said, "It's me, Sophie. You know, your fiancée?" She didn't know what was going on.
"I'm sorry, but I don't know you. I'm engaged to Elizabeth."
"What are you talking about?" Sophie asked, confused.
TBC…
Well, there's the first chapter! Sorry it's so short, but I wanted to end the first chapter with that line. I will try to update as soon as I can, so please R&R! flames ARE accepted, but only if they are constructive criticism. No saying, "Your story sucks!" or anything like that. Thanks for reading, and please review! And I'm sorry if it was a little redundant.
