No More Heroes
It is a bright and sunny Saturday, a day of free activity. The day is perfect and ripe for another ranked assassin match. It is here on this day when the story of Travis Touchdown will begin to unfold.
"Security! Unidentified hostile breach in the manor! Security!" an intercom blares. Alarms are ringing and fancily dressed guards are scrambling around. At last, three guards run out the front door of a magnificent mansion, worthy of a king. Their eyes dart around searching for the announced hostile. After a few seconds, a large motorcycle glides across the air, over the marble fountain. A shaded figure leaps off the driver's seat and dives toward the two nearest guards. Suddenly, blood is spewing out from the men's bodies.
The remaining guard gapes with horror at the gory mess as the stranger stands up. In the man's gloved hand is a rod of a cylindrical shape, with an thin extension stretching from the bottom to the top of the rod. The rod is emitting a thin blue beam, extending from bottom to top.
"Hey, you! Help me out here. Where's this Death Metal dude?" the stranger asks. The terrified guard is just stammering in surprise, backing away to the door. The stranger walks toward the guard. These chilling words spill from his mouth, "…Bad answer, man. That just cost you your life." The stranger swings his weapon, slicing the shaking guard in half. Blood sprays all over the delicate ornate door.
The stranger busts open the door with his feet. "Special delivery!" Two men in sunglasses run towards the man, pulling out their guns. Before they could aim, the stranger does a roundhouse kick, disarming the men. He grabs one man, lifts him up and then falls backward. A snap echoes from the man's body as his body collides with the floor. The stranger stands back up and says, "You're next, f--kface." He swings the weapon. "Oh, how rude of me. I haven't introduced myself." The stranger said to the lifeless corpse.
His name is Travis Touchdown, an otaku who loves Japanese anime. His weapon of choice? The Beam Katana. He was recently assigned a ranked match to become the tenth best assassin in the United States, but raiding this mansion is only one of many steps to fulfill his goal.
Travis goes up the carpeted stairs as he holds his Beam Katana ready for any threat. Bad mistake. He walks right into the path of a turret!
RAT-TAT-TAT-TAT-TAT-TAT!!! The turret screeches as Travis walks into its range. "Aw, shit! Turrets?!" Travis hides behind the wall and begins to formulate a strategy in his head. There is a 98% chance he will die from this…
