Moriarty miscalculated.
He thought I only had three friends.
It's almost funny. At first, he used Molly to get to me, and then he forgot her. To Moriarty, she was nothing but a tool to be used and then discarded.
She was right when she said she didn't count, but wrong about to whom. She counts to me.
She counts to me, but not to Moriarty, and that is where he failed. That was his fatal miscalculation. John, Lestrade, Mrs. Hudson. Molly didn't even occur to him. Not important. He'd deleted her.
