Days like this, she wished that she did not have to gift of sight. It was the first time she has ever seen her older brother looked...so. Karin couldn't find the words to describe it. Broken? Hopeless? Lost? She thought it was a mixture of the three and something else. The line on her mouth set further into a frown.

Ichigo can do anything. He is strong and confident when he shouldn't be. He pulls through any situation with sheer determination and brute strength. He is the type of person that you can rely on for anything whether it be groceries or saving herself from an evil spirit. He is built sturdy and unwavering. He towered over everything that he passed by.

Karin gripped onto her soccer ball a little harder. Suddenly, Ichigo's aura shrank. His usual passion and his eyes had lost its fiery luster. She couldn't figure out why. Rukia, the girl that attended the same high school, was standing right in front of him. Tears were gently running down her face and he had yet to make a move to ease the obvious pain. Karin knew he was emotionally stunted but even he wouldn't let her cry without doing something. He continued to look down at where Rukia stood and realization hit her, his eyes continue to shift like he was searching for something. He couldn't see her anymore. Something happened and he lost his sight. Karin finally tore her gaze away when Rukia pressed her hand into his chest. There was again no response from Ichigo and she left.

Suddenly, Karin felt like she was an intruder and wished she was out playing soccer with her friends.

She turned around and didn't question where Ichigo was for dinner when he didn't show up.
