I dont own Alex or Don, although if little Dicky wants something to give me for xmas i would love Alex.
"Captain?"
I looked up from my desk into the blue eyes of our young ADA,
"What can I do for you counsellor?" I kept my tone cold; I would never let her know that, even though I was old enough to be her father, I often thought very un-fatherly thoughts about the young blond.
"Are you okay?" she sounded like she really cared, she sat down on the chair on the other side of my desk and I couldn't help but notice how her skirt crept up her leg. Damn it Don, stop, she's too young somehow I managed to come out with a half descent response
" I'll be fine, this case just hit home, they all do" she nodded her understanding and I moved close to her,
"Thanks for trying so hard Alex"
"I'm just sorry I didn't win" I could see in her eyes that she was blaming herself, even though it was my detectives who didn't get her enough evidence.
"It's not your fault, you did your job"
"It wasn't enough" I was shocked to see tears in her blue eyes, Alexandra Cabot may no longer be considered an ice queen, but she never cried. I couldn't help myself; I reached up and wiped the tear from her cheek. She looked up at me shocked.
"Alex, I'm sorry that was-"as I searched for the right word as she stood up, I tried to forget how her skin felt.
"Inappropriate"
"Inappropriate Captain?" I could tell she wouldn't take that for the answer but I couldn't even look her in the eye, I was looking at her high healed shoes. Suddenly I felt her hand on my face, I looked up at her and she kissed me, and I kissed her back. When we moved apart I knew I was steering at her, I just didn't care. Her eyes where half shut and she licked her lips.
"Alex, if you want we can act like this never happened" What! No we cant, I want this too much
"Don that's the last thing I want, but if that's what you want…" she let the sentence trail off. I kissed her again did she say she wanted me? God I hope so now as I lie next to her, I know she wanted this.
