Whoo, yet another double-drabble written at one o'clock in the morning. :P Very irritating when all you want to do is sleep... At least I like what I got out of it. :) This goes back to "Sleeping to Dream," and it probably won't make a lot of sense without having read that... Sorry 'bout that.

So, in case you hadn't heard, last Saturday was Rion day on deviantArt, and while I'm running a couple days late, I'm still contributing over here! :) Speaking of deviantArt, I did just register for an account there, and pretty soon I'll start uploading stuff... including a couple of pics relating to KH and some of my fanfics... ;) Just if you're interested. Anyway, read and enjoy!

It takes Riku a few days to figure it out, but in the end he gets it.

When he opens his eyes, the stars above are dancing and shimmering in different patterns than he sees at home, and Riku gasps without meaning to. In a heartbeat he whips his head to the left—

—and there she is, where she should always be, stretched out on her side, watching him as he lies on his back on the pavilion of the Land of Departure with a satisfied smile.

"Told ya you could decide what you dream."

"Yeah," he murmurs—more like gasps—as his eyes try to re-memorize the little details his mind has lost since last time. "You did."

"But before I say anything else," she says, eyes twinkling warmly like the stars, "I'm supposed to tell you that even though you can't see them, the Dream Eaters will always be watching over you, and you'll never have a nightmare again." Funnily enough, she glances down and bites her lip, blush rising, then lifts her gaze to watch him through her eyelashes. "And they love you."

And before Riku can understand what she's saying, he wakes up, heart aching.
