The Salamander pulled away from Gray's neck, his eyes slowly adjusting to the early morning light change. He grinned, looking down at his ice mage friend lying under him, his strong arms wrapped around the boy. He could feel the older boy's cold blood, still slightly hot from their night, and from the Salamander's closeness, coursing through his body. His heartbeat, nearly matching Natsu's, was slow, the owner still asleep. Natsu kissed Gray's forehead, laying his head back down on Gray's chest. That was the strange thing about Gray...His chest was always warm. The only part of him that wasn't icy, was Natsu's favorite pillow. He couldn't help but wonder how they had gotten where they were. Just a week ago, they had been fighting each other. Natsu blushed as he remembered exactly WHY they had been fighting. Gray's constant desire to strip made the young Salamander jealous, having to share what wasn't even his to be jealous over. Well, wasn't then. Now, he has the right to be. Upon their return to the guild from an S-Class mission, in which others died, Gray admitted to Natsu that he was in love with him. Before he even had the chance to finish, Natsu's arms were around the older boy, their lips inches apart, their foreheads touching ever so slightly. "And I love you, Gray Fullbuster...I always have..." The Salamander whispered before he kissed the icy boy. He let Gray break the kiss, only to ask one thing. "Why are you always so sad, my ice prince...?" Natsu blushed at calling him that, not wanting to assume too much. Tears boiled over Gray's eyes, as he explained. "I'm just afraid of what might happen if the guild finds out..." As the tears froze, hanging from his chin, Natsu held the older boys face, cupping it in one hand. The tears started to evaporate, merely at the boy's warm touch. "There's nothing to be afraid of, my love...We'll be alright, no matter what. And you know Gramps wouldn't let anything bad happen." He smiled as Gray kissed his cheek and laid his head on the Salamander's shoulder, slowly relaxing.
