A/N: So hello! :D So it's 3am, I'm just casually scrolling on my dash when I see a photoset that I just had to write for! It was Rachel and Kurt being like Sharpay and Ryan. ( post/ 29521271572/ohmyfaultystars-oh-my-god-oh-my-god-i-love) :P I had to. And now here is some drabble that isn't good at all because heck it's 3am! :P But lemme know if it is any good because you never know I may write more drabble! :P Enjoy :D

What would be the first thing to pop into someone's mind when they said 'Rachel Berry'? Annoying? Spiteful? Ambitious? No. They would think 'Star'.

Rachel was the gem of McKinley High School. She was intelligent, pretty, talented, but a tad on the mean side. But that didn't matter to her. She knew she had the talent, and therefore had the ego to be the world's next best thing – but she was nothing without her best friend Kurt Hummel.

People would often question whether the two were related as they were a very similar pair, accept Kurt was less ambitious, and less spiteful than her. He was more of a wingman, he was there for all the duets and supporting roles but Rachel always stole the spotlight.

Always.

"Kurt! Where have you been all this time!? I am under a huge amount of stress right not and we both know that will give me frown line!"

"I'm so sorry Rachel, I was picking the right shade of red to go with my jeans and I couldn't believe the time and I had to pick up that special water you like and there was none in the shop and"

"Okay. It's fine. I guess I can forgive you. But never let in happen again we need to get going. Now." She gathered up her bad and gave herself one last look of admiration in the mirror before heading to the door.

"Wait, so how are we getting there?"

"My daddy will take us! Won't you daddy?" She turned to her dad who was reading the newspaper and drinking coffee. He was completely out of the conversation and was unaware of the arrangements that were made that day.

"What was that lovey?"

"You will take me to my audition won't you" She said more as a command than a question.

"Audition? For what?"

"It's for a musical called 'Lost in the Magic' and it's about a girl who falls desperately in love with this troubled boy and together they find themselves within each other through song and It's truly emotional! "

"Hum, never hear of that one hunny – "

"It's an original play." She said almost instantly. "Now we really gotta go and the audition is in 23 minutes"

They headed off to the audition, arriving a few minutes late but no problems occurred. As usual, Rachel went in and they loved her, and Kurt went and they liked him. The same as every single audition. But none of them ever got the parts. It was just Rachel being all charming and 'Rachely' and Kurt being what he though they needed. Which as usual; failed.

Kurt was tired of being Rachel's little pet and wanted to show the world what he could do. Show them the real Kurt Hummel – and for once he decided to take his own advice.
