One hundred and twenty years after Mass Effect 3 ended

'The time is now!' the warlord yelled, 'The Shepard is dead! None can now stand before the Krogan while we take our rightful vengeance against this galaxy!'
In response, Urdnot Wrex slowly rose from his throne, 'He'll speak some nonsense about how we must honour Shepard's memory, the word we now use for "hero,"' the rival sneered to himself in disgust. 'Well that won't work here.'
Wrex took another moment took look around, taking in all the clan leaders and noteworthy figures assembled before him, many of whom were broiling with bloodlust. The Krogan leader's own allies were silent, and wisely separate from the agitators, lest they get caught up in what was about to occur.
Finally, Wrex spoke, 'Shepard's body was never found. Again.'
The room grew still, and the fire died from most of the extremists.
'He was dying of old age before he went after those pirates! And then he set that nuke off!' the warmonger yelled, trying to maintain the initiative 'He can't still be alive!'
He turned around to regard everyone else, to raise them up to accept their destiny, 'We can rule them after we crush those who have wronged us! We've lived in dithering fear of a human all this time! Where has your warrior spirit gone!? Have you let the females sap it from you!? Where—'
The slightest sound was all he got as he turned around he saw that he had allowed Wrex to walk right up to him.
The Claymore shotgun round decorated the wall behind with gore, and Wrex stepped up to glare at the former followers of someone who had so disgracefully let an enemy just walk up behind him like that. 'Anyone else? Good. We'll keep Shepard's private residence on Tuchanka maintained until he returns. You're dismissed.'

If you are curious about why this takes place so far into the future, humans in the ME universe can live to be 150. Given the sheer number of body modifications and trauma Shepard has experienced, I decided it would all balance out to average.
Mostly just wrote this to get it out of my head.
