Hetalia Litany- USUK

A/N: So, in English class at school we had to do this adaption of the poem 'Litany' by Billy Collins. Y'know, that one where it's all like, 'You are the bread and the knife, the crystal goblet and the wine,' right? So I sit there in the dark corner where the seating chart finds me next to my friend, who's doing this on our friend, naming no names, like, 'You are the monocle and the top hat,' and I'm watching him, reading his poem over his shoulder, and he's like, "So what're you doing?" and I realize I haven't done anything yet, so I'm like, "Ehh, I'll do somethin' Hetalia-like!" and he's all "Urghh…" b'cuz he hates Hetalia, but he's never seen it anyway, so he can't be serious. I know that. Hehe. So my Hetalia Litany turns out to be sorta USUK 'cuz it ends up to be from Iggy-er, England-' s POV. Enjoy!

Hetalia Litany- USUK

You are the stars and the stripes,
the red, the white, and the blue.
You are the rebellious patriot,
and the reckless fighter.
You are the impetuous dreamer,
and the one I couldn't defeat.

However, you are not the proper one,
the polite gentleman,
or the most strategic planner.
And you are certainly not the sweet child you once were.
There is just no way you are the sweet child you once were.

It is possible that you are the strong conqueror,
maybe even the general of a great army.
but you are not even close
to being the best of them all.

And a quick look in the mirror will show
that you are neither the most observant
nor the most considerate towards others.

It might interest you to know,
speaking of the plentiful imagery of the world,
that I am the lone boat on the horizon.

I also happen to be the ally of you and your friends,
the one who has known you forever,
and the one who once saved your life.

I am also the one who will help you anytime

and the one who knows you best.
But don't worry, I'm not the stars and the stripes.
You are still the stars and the stripes.
You will always be the stars and the stripes,
not to mention the red, white, and-somehow-the blue.

You like? I wasn't sure about some of it, but I suppose it sort of fits… I guess…

Oh, and on a side note—HAS ANYONE EVER EATEN A CORN TORTILLA WITH MOZZERELLA, FETA, AND SHARP CHEDDAR CHEESE, NON-MELTED, ON TOP? IT'S AMAZING!

Hehe. I had to satisfy my cravings for Japanese food such as sushi and Pocky. So bye.
