Tony Stark knew deep down that his Father loved him. It may have been really really deep down but at least some tiny part of him knew. When he was a kid he had thought his Father was just putting up with him because Maria Stark, Tony's Mother would kill him if he had left Tony in some abandoned factory in the middle of Manhattan. Although he would almost instantly be recognised as he was the son of one of the biggest weapons maker in the world.
