Fairy Winds

Video game/ high school AU. Does contain OCs (based on me, my sister and my cousin currently) Homage to the 80's with the games console name. Sort of like sao but not really. Inspired by a weird-ass dream i had.

Ollie James sat on the edge of his bed, grinning with anticipation. It was his birthday and his parents had just bought the brand new, bestselling video game Fairy Winds. He couldn't wait to get online. He had already decided. He was going to form a guild. It was going to be massive and have at least 50 people in. He just needed to find some others willing to join it...

Katie 'Rambo' and Izzy 'Assassin' Adams were waiting at the door for their new Ataria consoles, and with them, Fairy Winds. They had already decided on their mage types. Katie was going to be an ice maker mage and Izzy a requip mage. There was a knock on the door and the postman was there with the Atarias. Katie grabbed the consoles and plugged them into their chargers and waited for them to be fully charged. They then logged on.

Gray Fullbuster, Erza Scarlet and Natsu Dragneel had just signed in. They were all useless at creating characters so they just took photos of themselves and the Ataria created likenesses for them. They chose their mage types and one other subclass (ranger for Gray, swordsman for Erza and rogue for Natsu) then clicked the start button and found themselves in a massive marketplace. They then started to look around.

Ollie had reached the marketplace. He was a takeover mage (subclass: berserker) with blazing orange hair and freckles everywhere and his in-game name was PainAuChocolat. He meandered around, planning on getting some cool weapons from a stall somewhere (he didn't much like quarterstaffs), when he banged into an elf with long, blonde hair, and a man with dark brown hair and bright blue eyes. He apologised, and then caught sight of their names: DazzlingAssassin and KnivesOfIce.

"Hang on... Izzy? Katie?" Ollie couldn't be sure, but those were the nicknames used by his cousins, in anything and everything. Heck, Katie's icloud account was called that.

"Ol?" The man said, puzzled. Ollie knew immediately that he was right. Only one person called him that: his cousin Katie. He was slightly surprised that Katie had chosen to be a male for this game, but then remembered that she always did that.

So he answered, "Yup that's me!" as happily as possible. For now, he knew two people in the game and he could ask them to join his guild.

Erza, Natsu and Gray had just finished stocking up on items (Erza had bought loads, being a requip mage, and now they were skint) when they saw a very strange exchange in the middle of the street. Two people, both men, were fighting, while a girl was standing at the sidelines cheering them on. Erza couldn't take this. She strode up to them and said, strangely calm, "And just what are you three idiots doing, may I ask?" The man with brown hair gulped and knelt on the floor.

"I am so sorry Erza! Please forgive me and the others!" Erza was confused. She had not met this person before in her life. Who were they? Unless, she thought, I know them from high school...

"Umm, who are you exactly?" she asked, to make sure she knew them.

"Oh right yeah, forgot about that heh. I'm Katie Adams, currently in your class, sit next to you..." he trailed off, " And this is my cousin Ollie and sister Izzy," he said, pointing at both in turn. Erza took all of this in and was struck suddenly by a realisation.

"Katie, you're playing as a man!"

"And?" He(or was it she) replied nonchalantly, "I can be whatever gender I want to thank you very much," Erza back-pedalled quickly.

"Ahh I didn't mean it like that, it's just I didn't realise it was you a syou were a man..."

"Eh, it's fine, it happens a lot honestly." She (Erza had decided on she) said, brushing it off easily.

"Umm Erza..." Gray said cautiously after walking up behind her, "Who are these people?" Gray and Natsu were in a different class, of course they wouldn't know.

"This is my good friend, Katie Adams and her sister and cousin," Erza explained. Gray and Natsu did a double take (just like Erza) but got over it quickly. It was then that Ollie asked the question that had been on his lips for ages, "So, now that we all know each other, do you want to form a guild?"

"HUH?"

Edit: I got a tip-off from a reader that this story was hard to read, so I am (hopefully) making it easier! Also Erza now refers to Katie as she because I noticed I changed in the middle of the story!

Hey folks! This is my second story aren't you proud of me? Sorry I haven't updated oh hell no! recently, it's exam week and I have been revising and haven't really had time for it! I do hope to post it soon though :) Anywayyyy… see if you can guess who's who with my oc's! Also please review and all that if you find anything wrong/have a plot idea etc.
