This is for the Madrigal Prompt: Light.

Before the clue hunt, Natalie Kabra had never felt guilt or pain in her life. She pushed it away because that is what her mother would do. Now, when she thinks about her life, she can only see pain and guilt - two human feelings that Isabel never had. The pain and guilt became the darkness that Natalie came to loathe. The darkness felt like a long and dark tunnel that she can't escape from.

The darkness became unbearable once, when annoying people asked and reminded her about her evil mother. She wanted to scream that it was none of their business and throw a tantrum, because that is what before-the-clue-hunt Natalie would do. She kept her mouth shut. When she ignored them and walked away, the darkness disappeared for a while.

When same persistent people tried to get an answer from Natalie, she stopped and realized that they just want to annoy her. Any trace of darkness still in her mind would disappear and Natalie would feel the light replacing it. She walked out of the dark tunnel and gained a clear mind. She would tell them in a calm voice that her mother is none of their business and that they should mind theirs. They stared at Natalie, mouths agape, because they expected her to yell until she turned purple.

Natalie walked away, heads high, feeling the light envelope her.

Natalie doesn't sound IC to me. This is probably the worst and shortest entry so far. Please review!
