Hey, guys! Here's a new fic I randomly thought of. If you ever wondered what would happen if Ian and Amy were almost in a skydiving accident, this story is for you! Hahaha!

I peered curiously out of the window of the plane as Dan said, "Come on, Amy! It's just skydiving! And it's not like you're going to be alone! It is two-person skydiving, anyway."

Dan wiggled his eyebrows a bit and said, "Besides, it's going to be with Ian!"

I gave him a hard shove and he fell into Natalie, whom he would be skydiving with. We were all on a skydiving trip for Dan's birthday, and we all knew that it would be much cheaper to pair up with Cahills who knew what they were doing, and have Nellie fly the plane. So, Amy would be going with Ian, and Natalie would be going with Dan, who had been skydiving about four times before.

"Are you ready?" Ian asked me, a humorous glint in his eyes.

"S-sure. . ." I said, taking one more swift glance out of the window.

I pulled my goggles on and watched as Natalie and Dan leaped out of the plane door.

"WOOHOO!" Dan yelled as he and Natalie fell toward the earth.

"Our turn." Ian said.

Sucking in a deep breath, I took a running leap with Ian out of the plane.

We started to fall, but the air resistance made it feel as though we were just hovering. Ian yelled to me, since it was the only way we could really communicate because of the rushing wind.

"Having fun?"

"NOT REALLY!" I yelled back, gripping the straps of my jumpsuit.

We were nearing the point where Ian should be pulling the parachute out.

"Hey, Ian? Maybe you should pull the string out." I told him nervously.

I felt a slight tugging on his backpack and then nothing.

"It's not opening." He whispered in a chilling voice that sent shivers down my back.

"Oh, Lord." I whispered.

It wasn't going to open. I had heard of people surviving jumping out of the airplanes without a parachute and surviving, but that was once in a million.

I felt Ian grab my hand and he said, "I'm so sorry, Amy."

Tears started to flow out of my eyes, clogging up my goggles.

Dear God, please keep Dan, and Nellie, and Fiske, and all the other Cahills safe. Let Dan know I love him, and tell him I'm sorry for leaving him.

I could see the ground know, in such a way that made my heart stop cold.

I was going to die, and this time, it was for real.

Suddenly, I felt an immense tugging, and then Ian and I were thrown upward.

"AHH!" I screeched.

I looked up as our fall started to slow, and saw Ian's grinning face, and a big white parachute.

"You did it!" I cheered.

We landed a moment later, and Ian unstrapped me from the skydiving thingy I didn't know the name of. I whirled around and slapped him clear across the face.

"Ouch!" he yelled, raising his hand to red face. "What was that for?"

"For almost getting me killed!" I yelled.

Then, I pulled him closer for a kiss. When we broke away, he looked at me, incredulous.

"And what was that for?"

My face felt hot, and I said, "For saving me."

Then, I ran off to go give Dan a big hug.
