Ell's P.O.V
I was sitting in the living room watching Tv my dad Robert just let to some shopping, He was a sheriff and i ALWAYS wore his hat i was in love with it, today i was watching some tv when it suddenly changed to the news on every channel
'Everyone STAY in your houses and lock the doors and windows! The dead are coming back to life If you see one shoot it in the head! I repeat the dead are coming back to life lock your doors and wind-AHHHH' The lady was cut off by being bitten by someone then the tv went blank...
''Oh sh!t'' i whispered, wow a 12 year old cussing anyway, I ran upstairs and grabbed my pink and black pistol (A/N i aint good with guns so i'll call them a 'gun' or 'pistol') out of my draw by taking out the key i have on my neck and putting it in the lock, I pulled it out and grabbed my leg holster and put my pink and black gun in it and strapped it to my thigh. I put on my blue,white and grey trainers. I put on my dad's sheriff hat and got some clothes out and put them in my navy green backpack i also grabbed 6 bottles of water some canned food and baby food for my now hopefully sleeping lil' sis, just then alice my lil' sis started crying
''shhh,shhh it'll be okay lil' sis stop crying'' i picked her up and put her on my hip as i ran and locked all the windows in the house.
''Oh come on dad plzz be back soon...we need you'' i whispered as tears started rolling down my there was a knock on the door...i grabbed my pistol and walked slowly to the door to see it was just my friend carl and lori...
''Lori! oh my god'' i started to hug her tight with my free arm when i saw carl next to har and i let go of lori and hugged carl with my free arm i was the same height as carl wo it wasn't awkward he then hugged me back. I opened my eyes and saw a zombie or whatever they are walking behind lori i shot it before i came any closer lori and carl suddenly turned around and they saw the 'zombie' they took a step in and i slammed the door shut with my free arm and locked it.
''I'll take alice off you if you want'' Lori asked me
''Yes please''I replied with a fake smile i was so scared why Now why now did the world of to end
''how about you too sit in the living room'' lori asked ''i'm gonna see if i can call your dad up and then i'll call shane''
''K'' was mine and carls only reply and then we sat in the living room
Carl's P.O.V
''What's happening?..'' i hear El ask, El is my best friend and neighbor we've known each other for years
''I don't know...i-i really don't '' I said looking down at my feet then i slowly looked at her
''were is Rick?'' Rick's my dad...how am i supposed to tell her he's been shot...well i might as well say that...after what felt like a minute silence i finally told her '' he was shot and he's in the hospital ''
''Oh...'' was all i got '' I am really sorry''
''guy's shane is on his way...get your stuff ready he'll be here any second i hear my mum say
''Ok'' me and ell say at the same time as we grab and bags and put them on ell goes and take's alice of lori and goes upstairs, after what seems like 5 minutes she comes down with her in some trousers and a coat with bag on alice's back
''why the bag?'' i ask her
''oh, that it has all her stuff in like milk powder a some cloths and i have a few diapers in my bag oh and in her she has her cream a blanket and a teddy round about that''
''Oh..Okay'''
''Let's go guys shanes here'' lori says unlocking the door walking out. Ell runs in front and hands lori alice on the way to the car el shoots a few of those 'things' (a/n ell can be spelled Ell or el and it's a nickname for ella i just think ell/el sounds better)

''Hi my name is Sophia'' the blonde girl said

''wana play a game'' sophia asked

''AHHH'' i heard ell scream
''HERD EVERYONE GET UNDER THE CARS!''without thinking i went to the nearest car and went underneath it there i saw sophia and ell
''yo'' she said
''wow your girl scream was L.o.u.d''
''why thank you...i try'' about after a minute there didn't seem to be any and ell said what i was thinking
''okay they seem to have passed, but we sh~'' ell got cut off when sophia jumped out and then she suddenly screamed
''Sophia!'' ell screamed and jumped out but got tackled by 2 zombies
''AHH'' she scream and there was blood and a lot of pushing and then a limping ell running away! did i just lose my best friend?!
Ell's P.O.V
I got up to go chase sophia but i got tackled by 2 walkers i screamed and stabbed them with a knife i had in my pocket but i twisted my ankle while doing so and slammed my elbow on the car so that hurts like hell and i did the only thing i could think off...i ran away. i didn't want to but my body just didn't i don't want to leave mah lil' sis or carl (Btw alice (her lil' sis is mostly with lori because she's like her mother to ell and alice so she's with her)
