Prologue
Swirls of smoke marked the starless night sky above a snow-white mansion engulfed in flames.

I knew that I shouldn't like him. In fact liking him made no sense at all. He was a yakuza, an Espada, the enemy. He had threatened my friends and taken me away from everything I had ever known. Yet, despite all that I felt a pull at my heartstrings every time I saw him. His raven ruffled hair made my hand itch in its need to feel his silky locks. His dark emerald eyes drew me towards him, my ears aches to hear his voice, and my body wanted to know if skin was as cold as his attitude. There was no denying it. I had fallen for the very man who had brought hate and pain into my life.
