Extended Ending for Season 5, ep. 7 – "Passing Chance"
Jennifer came out from the dressing area massaging lotion into her hands. She looked over at Jonathan who was already totally relaxed in bed with his eyes shut. Considering they'd been in Greece yesterday, it didn't surprise her. Tonight they'd decided to split a pajama set, so she climbed under the covers, rolled on top of her husband, and ran her nails lightly down his chest and along his sides. She smiled a coy smile when she felt his muscles bunch with the tickle.
"Darling, I was thinking of something earlier." Jonathan smiled but didn't open his eyes. He was enjoying his current position far too much.
"I like what you're thinking." Jennifer overlapped her hands on his chest and pillowed her chin there.
"Not about this. About Max." She laughed a little as his hands caressed the sides of her thighs and started slowly finding their way to her hips. "Jonathan, you're so bad." He opened his eyes and gave her a mischievous smile.
"Darling, this morning you told me I was very, very good." She kissed his chest and laughed that deep throaty laugh that always managed to make his heart skip a beat.
"I did, didn't I?" He knew she would circle back around to her previous thoughts, so he prompted her. The sooner she told him about Max, the sooner he could focus on her.
"So, what about Max?" It took a second for her to refocus. Her husband's roving hands tended to make thinking difficult.
"I was just thinking that it's been a while since he's taken a real vacation. Greece was certainly no holiday for him." Jonathan's face clouded over.
"No, it wasn't. I'm just glad he wasn't more seriously hurt." Jennifer gave Jonathan another little kiss to help soothe him.
"Having Helena take care of him worked wonders." Jonathan smiled.
"Having a pretty lady around always makes things better." His hands continued to roam his wife's body. He laughed at the mock exasperation on Jennifer's face. "All right, back to Max."
"Well, I was thinking, what if we give him a long weekend in Reno or Atlantic City or Las Vegas for his birthday? There won't be any danger of hostile takeovers or helicopter flights for him." Jonathan placed a light kiss on Jennifer's lips.
"Darling, I think that's a great idea." He pulled her down for another, longer, more intense kiss, and in one swift move, she was under him.
"Why do I feel like you're ready to move on to a different idea, Darling?" Jonathan rubbed his nose gently over hers.
"Because you've always been excellent at non-verbal communication." As he kissed her, he reached over and switched off the light.
