"I'm not ready."

A young girl stood in front of the dusty mirror. The reflection bore a short young woman, wearing a white button down shirt, a velvet skirt with similar colored suspenders, brown leather boats that stretched up towards her knees, and a dainty, white bow placed upon her head. She was indeed a lovely little girl.

Not much for meister material.

"Cherry! Are you done?"

The girl froze in front of the mirror as she peaked back towards the door. "Yeah, give me a minute." The one known as Cherry took a deep sigh as she turned towards the door and opened it up. On the other end was another young girl, palen in skin, but with ebony colored hair, tied back in long, loose braids with white bows. She wore a lavender, Victorian-esque dress, with amethyst-colored tights and golden heels. In addition, she had a name that matched her colored clothing. "Are you ready, Violet?" Cherry asked. Violet released a small squeal in return. "Aren't you so excited?" Violet chirped as she grasped Cherry's hand. Violet's voice was soft, but you could sense the enthusiasm practically beaming off of her.

The duo set their sights on the DWMA, the Death Weapon Meister Academy. It had always been Cherry's dream to attend the DWMA. However, Violet didn't seem to care much. Even though she was the more cheerful of the two, she wasn't very enthusiastic about attending the DWMA. She wasn't against it, but she wasn't fond of it. However, if it made her meister happy, she would deal with it. As for Cherry, she was practically bursting with excitement. To be accepted to the DWMA was her life's goal. And to be accepted along with her beloved weapon was almost living the dream.

Once the two reached the school, Cherry squealed wit delight as she charged through dozens of newcomers to race up the enormous flights of steps leading up to the school. Before Violet could even digest the mere size of the school, her meister was gone from sight. "Cherry!" Violet called as she picked up the sides of her dress and began to hop up the steps in order to find her lost meister.

Cherry sprinted up the steps, sharp breathes escaping her lungs, however they were mostly dominated by the loud squeals and screams she made from her excitement. Once she reached the top of the steps, she let out a mighty roar of success. It was wasn't until a few moments later, when her struggling weapon partner came trudging up the final few steps. "Would you kindly not run away from me in a foreign place?" Violet asked, gasping for breathes from chasing her rowdy meister. Cherry giggled and yanked Violet towards her.

"I can't believe we made it!"
