Chapter 1
Illusions and Dreams
Maddie, Mac, Mario, Luigi, Starlow, and Prince Dreambert are in Hyrule going for a walk. Mac and Maddie decided to stay in Hyrule so they can be there for their people. Mario, Luigi, Starlow, and Prince Dreambert are visiting them for some time. Maddie stopped walking and looked behind her. She saw a small imp creature. She blinked a couple of times, but then Maddie saw that it was gone.
Another illusion, Maddie thought. She started to feel uneasy.
"Maddie, are you okay?" Starlow asked.
"Y-Yeah," Maddie said unsure. "I thought I saw something."
"You've been hallucinating stuff ever since we came back home," Mac said worried. "You've also been having some nightmares. Are you sure you're okay?"
"I'm sure," Maddie said. Mac didn't question her and continued walking. Maddie followed behind her sister and friends.
"What did you see?" Prince Dreambert asked Maddie.
"I saw an imp creature," Maddie said. "I also saw a wolf."
"That's weird," Luigi said.
"Yeah," Maddie said. "But I feel like I've seen them before."
"Really?" Mario asked.
"Maybe," Maddie answered. "But I can't seem to remember where."
That night, Maddie had the same nightmare she had for a few days. She yelled and wake up immediately.
Why do I keep having the same dream over and over, Maddie asked herself.
"Are you okay Sister?" someone asked. Maddie looked to see Mac standing in the doorway of her bedroom. She looked worried.
"Not really," Maddie confessed. "I keep having the same dream."
"What was the dream about?" Mac asked as she walked over to Maddie.
"I saw three people fighting against someone. They didn't win though," Maddie said scared.
"Did you know anyone in your dream?" Mac asked.
"Not really," Maddie said. "But at the same time, it feels like I should."
"You know, you used to have there same dreams when you were little," Mac said. "I wonder if your dreams mean something."
"I wonder...," Maddie said as her voice trailed off.
