Into the mirror
The strange mirror
Things have become very peace in the land of Equestria, everything was in order and everypony living their daily lives. The royal family of Cloud Kingdom were on visit at the Crystal Empire for political reasons. Elsie and Noble saw no reason for their presences since all the talking and meetings, only involved their parents.
"This is so boring" complained Noble while they walk the hallways of the empire
"Its political reasons, Noble" said Elsie as she smiled at him
"Your too cheerful, sis" said Noble while he look around the castle "Armored not even here and your still cheerful, where is he anyways?"
"Back at the kingdom, he's not part of the family yet" said Elsie as she blush slightly at the thought of her coltfriend
"Like I said your way too cheerful" said Noble as he notice a slightly opened door "Hey look at this!" Noble wondered towards the door and opened it wide.
"Noble! We're guest, stop snooping!" shouted Elsie as she followed her brother
"Look" said Noble as he pointed at a covered weird looking shape
"That's great Noble, now come on before we get into trouble" said Elsie as she glance at the door
"No way! I want to know what's under it" said Noble while he used his magic to take some of the blanket
"Noble stop it!" shouted Elsie as she tried to stop him but it was too late, Noble pulled the blanket completely off and revealed a mirror.
"What is that?" ask Elsie
"I don't know?" said Noble as he look closer at the mirror, Noble lifted his hoof and was about to touch the mirror.
"Noble!" Noble immediately lowered his hoof and saw his mother in the doorway
"Oh! Hey mom" said Noble as he smiled at his mother
"What are you two doing?" ask Lightning while she entered the room
"I saw this mirror" said Noble as he returned his attention to the mirror
"And you decided to enter the room anyways" said Lightning while she glared at her son
"Uh…..yea" said Noble as he smiled at her
"Noble, I don't think Cadence wants you going through her things" said Lightning as she notice the blanket
"But mom! I want to know more about this mirror!" complained Noble
"Noble you're not a colt anymore, your almost nineteen" said Lightning as she place the blanket over the mirror
"Yeah but that doesn't mean I don't like to complain" said Noble
Lightning just rolled his eyes and headed towards the door
"Come on" Lightning stood at the door and waited for Elsie and Noble to arrive
"Come on, little bro" said Elsie as she went to join her mother
"Fine" said Noble as he went to join his mother and sister
Lightning, Elsie and Noble went to join the rest of the royal family of empire in the dinning hall.
"There the rest of my family" said Snow as he greeted them
"We weren't gone for long" said Lightning while she kissed him on the cheek
"Well it felt like forever" said Snow
"Dad! I found some strange mirror" said Noble
"What do you mean I?!" ask Elsie as she stop him with her wing "You wouldn't have found it without me!"
"Elsie you're no longer a filly" scolded Lightning
"Lightning they're just having a small argument" said Snow
"Small? They're arguing about a mirror!" said Lightning
"Mirror?" Cadence entered the dining hall with Shining armour
"Cadence sorry we're late" said Lightning
"It's fine but what is this mirror, I just heard about?" ask Cadence
"Yeah Noble what mirror?" ask Elsie as she grinned at him "You did find it after all"
"I found a strange mirror" answered Noble while he gave his sister a dirty look
"I think I know which mirror you're talking about" said Cadence as she smiled at them "It's the mirror that Twilight went through"
"Oh! You mean when she had to retrieve her crown and….and….and when she went back to help her friends?!" ask Elsie
"Indeed it is" said Cadence
"Wow! That so awesome!" shouted Elsie
"I wish I can go through that mirror and see that strange world!" said Noble with an excited tone, Noble glance at his parents and saw them glaring at him. Noble lowered his ears and sigh in frustration "I'm not aloud near that mirror, am I?"
"You got it" said Snow
"What a pain" said Noble as he headed towards the dining table
Cadence, Shining and the others went to the table and started diner.
"So, Cadence do you know what's on the other side?!" ask Elsie while she held her glass in her magic
"Very little, Twilight told me something's about this other world but not much" said Cadence while she lifted her fork
"I'm going to ask Twilight more about it!" said Elsie as she was already excited for her next visit
"Did you ever went through the mirror?!" ask Noble
"No" said Cadence
"Twilight says that there are…hum….how should you call it?" wondered Shining while he tried to find the right words "You could say…like copies of all of us"
"Yes, there was another Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack and many more ponies. They all have counterparts on the other side of that mirror, we might have some too" said Cadence
Noble stared in amazement of what he just heard, more than before, Noble really wanted to see this other world.
"Dad, mom, can I please go on the other side of the mirror!" pleaded Noble
"Noble we already said no" said Snow while he cut his carrot
"Please! Mom can I?!" ask Noble
"We're not letting you go through that mirror! The only reason Twilight did was to retrieve her crown and help her friends" said Lightning
"Why not!" demanded Noble
"Noble! Mom and Dad said no, so drop it" said Elsie as she annoyingly look at her brother
"Elsie you want to know has badly has me!" said Noble
"Yea I do but I'm going to ask Twilight about it! I never said I wanted to go myself, I don't know what's on the other side" said Elsie
"Your sucking up to mom and dad" said Noble as he slammed his hoof onto the table
"Noble!" shouted Lightning
"Son, stop this attitude at once!" said Snow as he was about to stand but sat right back down
"I can't do anything in this family!" shouted Noble as he stood up and stormed out
"Dam! Where does he get that attitude" said Snow as he look at Lightning
"Where indeed?" said Lightning as she smiled at him
"That's not what I meant" said Snow as he stood up to go talk to his son
"Here let me" said Lightning as she motioned him to seat
Lightning walk around the castle in search of her stubborn, son. Lightning approached the room of the magic mirror and saw Noble standing in front, the blanket was on the floor with an anxious pony ready to enter.
"Noble what are you doing?!" demanded Lightning as she entered the room
"I'm going to check this out!" said Noble as he pass his hoof into the mirror, Lightning pulled Noble's hoof out with her magic and stood in front of him and the mirror.
"Why, do you want to go into that mirror?!" ask Lightning
"I want to know what's on the other side!" said Noble as he once more tired to get through
"Noble that's enough!" said Lightning as she held her son's hoof "Stop acting like a child"
"Stop bossing me around!" shouted Noble as he forcefully pulled his hoof back
Lightning back away from the force and accidently trip over her hooves, she fell backwards and went into the mirror and an unknown adventure.
"MOM!" shouted Noble as he tried to catch his mother, Noble reach out his hoof but only touched her slightly before she fell into the mirror. Lightning went through the mirror and saw a mix of colours, surrounding her all around (I'm going to go into detail since you all know how it goes). Lightning opened her eyes and saw this hard, gray floor, something she has never saw before.
"Wh…..e….where am I?" ask Lightning as she rubbed her head, Lightning lowered her hoof but she didn't see her hoof. Instead of her hoof was this weird looking, flashy thing with these weird sticks. Lightning moved his weird thing and look at the rest of her hoof, her hoof was much thinner, her body as well and she had this two long things. "What is this?!" freak Lightning as she tried to figure out what is this new body of hers.
"You're not Twilight" said a voice
Lightning look up and saw a yellow hand
"Where am I? Who are you?" ask Lightning as she took this mysterious hand
"Well you're in another dimension" said the voice as it help Lightning onto her sticks, sticking out of her hips
"But how?" ask Lightning while she wobbled on her sticks
"Through the mirror" said the voice as she wrap Lightning's sticks near her shoulders around her's "My name is Sunset Shimmer"
