The world hates Sydney Bristow. This is a fact. Her fiancé was murdered. Her father is a scary maniac. Her mother is a traitor to the United States and has been sentenced to death by lethal injection. She lies and kicks ass and gets her ass kicked for a living, and on top of it all, she still has to manage taking classes for her degree in teaching. The world hates Sydney Bristow. And all I can do is watch it all. And it all completely dumbfounds me, awes me into silence, how all the times she said "bank", she meant "I'm going half-way around the world to take down some national enemies for the CIA and then find some way to make it seem as if I'm doing it for SD-6 so they won't come after me and kill me, like they did to Danny." I saw what they did to Danny… I never want anything remotely related to that happening to Sydney. And to tell you the truth, I'm scared as hell because I know that I can't protect her from that, that there's no way I can stop that from happening to her, that in the end, I need more protection than she ever will.
