I was there
I was there when you were born
crying so loud
while you observed each sound
And your sweet little hand
wrapped around my big finger
oh what joy you brought
as time seemed to linger
I was there at age 3
when most kids could walk
You could fly,kick,swim,win,and talk
Your eyes shined with warmth
And your smile showed kindness
Although sometimes your whining
Becomes an annoyance
I laugh just the same
For your my same flesh and skin
I was there at age 8
making new friends
too younge for a date
Your smile gets brighter
Your laughter a pleasure
each passing day
You let me still hold you
and give you a kiss
But I know
Soon it will be a bliss
I was there at age 13
Now offically a teen
habbits sinking in
Mischeivious arising
You dress as a boy
And train all day too
You get your mom mad
For not tieing your shoes
Your still my little girl
No matter what you do
I was there at age 16
highschool now starting
time for the partys
Your cloths are changing
Becoming more girly
But always keeping that Son Pan touch to them
I will always trust you
Just keep your words
And I will help whenever you ask me to be there
I was there at age 18
Highschool at an end
heading off to college soon
Things yet to lend
You've blossomed into a woman
elegant and sure
Men gaze in your direction
But you don't gaze in theirs
And if you ever get afraid
Don't forget that I am here
I know your love for Trunks
I'll have to let you go
But you'll always be my daughter
More beautiful as you grow
And I will stay your father
The proudest man you know.
