Kaien was lying under a sakura tree in the 7th division garden. He had the rest of the day off; even though he can't remember the last time he took a break. He chuckled when he remembered Sajin telling him to take the day off or else he will lock him out of the 7th division. So, that's why he's out here.

He looked down when he felt a motion on his chest. He smiled when he see's Yuri fast asleep on his chest. He's glad he finally took a chance and confessed his feelings for her. He was surprised that she returned his feelings and that she liked him for a long time. He should have figured it out by himself.

Kaien felt Yuri shift in her sleep, and then he heard her moan. He looked down and saw that she had a troubled look on her face. That's when it occurred to him that she was having a nightmare.

"Yuri, Yuri-chan, wake up". He whispered softly as he pushed her softly.

Yuri woke up with a start and she looked at Kaien with tear-filled eyes. She then snuggles closer to Kaien, her shoulders shaking as she cried. Kaien looks at her in confusion.

"Yuri, what's wrong?" Kaien asked softly.

"I-I dreamed…" Yuri stuttered "…that you were dead. That you got killed by a hollow."

She then started crying harder and Kaien wrapped his arms around her for comfort. Yuri then looked at him with frightful, tear-filled eyes.

"Kaien, promise me. Please promise me you won't die. Please!"

Kaien looked at Yuri, whose face look scared and was anticipating his answer. He then slowly shook his head with a somber expression.

"I can't promise that, Yuri. With what we do…we can die any day. I can't promise you that I won't die."

Yuri looked down with a look of disappointment on her face. Kaien sighed and he tilted her chin so she could look at his face.

"I remember something Yue-san once said" Kaien said "She said it doesn't matter how long you live, what matters is what you do with your life."

Kaien then smiled.

"So, Yuri, lets not think about when we die. Lets think about what we gonna do while we live"

Yuri looked at Kaien with wide eyes and gives a teary smile.

"Yeah, let's do that."

AN: This here is a request my friend asked with his OC's. I thought the quote in the beginning seemed to fit in with the theme. I don't bleach, but these characters belong to my friend, Wolfking 101.
