CONTINUE FLASHBACK
"Would you put it on me?" "Of course." I clasped the necklace under her hair. She smiled "I'm sorry but my mom's birthday is coming up soon as you know and I'm going downtown to get her a necklace that she said she liked. I'll see you later OK?" "OK, See you later." Little did I know, this would be the last time I ever saw Alyssa breathing again.
She walked down to the jewelry store. The Alpha had killed the jeweler only an hour before, he was faking to be the jeweler to try and kill her to get to me being that I refused to be a member of his pack. "Hello miss, can I help you with anything today?" "Um yes, actually I am shopping for my mom, do you still have this necklace?" she showed him the picture on her cell phone of the necklace. "My boyfriend gave it to me last time I saw him. Do you know what stone it is? Because I sure don't." "It'll only take a minute may I see it?" "Sure" Alyssa handed him the necklace. "Now." "What?" that was her last word. 'What?' then a friend from another pack snapped her neck. She died that day. A week before her mother's birthday.
END FLASHBACK

"I got it back... Eventually." he pulled a red velvet box out of the drawer beside him and opened it revealing the most beautiful piece of Jewelry to ever grace this planet. "Take it, give it to Allison. It will keep her safe. Be sure to tell her NEVER TO TAKE IT OFF." Derek said the end very sternly. Scott nodded. Derek was so lost, he had lost the love of his life that day. Since then he hated any Alpha of his pack. Family or not.
