Chapter 1: Just a little Village
The warm afternoon sunlight shone brightly down on the Nagano mountains as the birds flew lazily in the cloudless summer sky. Five miles away from the foothills lay a small village humming with peace and happiness.
At one point, many years ago, the town had once been a military post designed to ward off attacking armies and greedy neighbors. However, the kingdom it had once fought for had long been consumed by the flames of war, leaving the inhabitants with nothing to defend but themselves.
