Disclaimer: This is fanfiction. Draw your own conclusion.

Yuki Sohma has his entire life set out for him.

Rather, had. Past tense. Because these days he isn't so sure. He's Yuki. He's allegedly Prince Charming even though he doesn't detect anything prince-like about himself. It's just a given he'd be successful. He'd be a name people remember.

He never really had time for love, or even anything in that immediate family except for his studies, his training, throw in beating Kyo there a few times and for the most part, that was Yuki's life. He accepted it. He was fine with it.

Past tense again.

Because then suddenly…. she came along. Out of nowhere. Actually, that's a lie. She came from a tent in the middle of nowhere. He found his breath being taken away at how easily she fit in, molded into the Sohma house. How in a way, he's a better person now. They all are.

She's so blissfully naïve- and sweet. Maybe a little too all-pleasing but it was more adorable than annoying. And at once Yuki realized that his former
set out life was now in a disorderly arrangement. And disorder just simply was not done with Yuki. It had never happened before.

And then he realized… did he mind it so much, if at all? The answer was no. Because he was learning to be more carefree. Breaking out from his perfect rules and perfect orderly way of life, something he didn't know it was possible to do. For him.

He found that when she smiled, his lips turned up too. Yuki used to never smile very often.

Past tense, of course.

He decided, when it all breaks down, these days, he's happy with his life. His life that's been nothing but unpredictable since she stepped foot into their home and nothing but one adventure after another.

His former days of loneliness and hurt and such unexplainable sadness?

Past tense.
